uh this is a total cop out, just messing around with inkscape, stolen from a company's logo that stole my name
I'm thinking of starting a comic/quest, which is basically just an interactive webcomic. Go read nanquest or rubyquest if you're not sure what they are. (Nanquest is a lot better imo but rubyquest was the original one that started it all, so both are good in their own rights.)
I'm going back and forth trying to find a style that I want to use for a Monkey Island/Indiana Jones style point and click adventure. It will take place in a fantasy world where three individuals (a fighter, a thief, and a mage) try to break into a sealed temple to reverse an ancient evil or something. The player will be the thief who will have to solve puzzles and all that jazz.
I've gone through a bunch of different styles, so I figured I'd try the LucasArts style while I'm at it...
And I thought refractive liquids were hard... reflective is like 11/10 in difficulty.
Anyway, here is drop of a reflective liquid on contact before dispersion and reaction of the body source. I didn't want to use any lines here and leave the colors with reflections to give the detail due to dense liquids showing similar properties. The phase change is again the difficult part. It's too rapid in the edges. You can see this in the first wave. It's as if I ended up doing the repelling force of impact rather than the residual change for the body source.
Favorite Ground type: Sandshrew and Sandslash, though I really didn't have the energy to do more. Meh..
Some drawings do during my first "art"stream.
Quelques dessins fait pendant mon premier stream "d'art".
First interface mockup for my isometric roleplaying game which might or might not happen.
The portrait is probably not needed gameplay-wise, but perhaps it would be nice to have to show some expression/emotion of the character? Like the old doom guy. Although now that I think of it I would rather have multiple faces to choose from than one animated face.
My croquis this morning were less than stellar. I'm running low on energy today, but I will be producing more work. I'm finishing up a big commission today.
