my hand is a good subject, it knows just how to pose. b&w on the lx3 has been feeling pretty rewarding lately. trying out new ways for editing. i'm liking where i'm heading.
second image is from adapting my f mount 28mm f/2 to the pentax q using a toilet paper roll... it's not a very good experience, and is soft even when i hit the focus out of luck. eh. using any of my higher focal length lenses like that would be a true nightmare, yet... im still tempted to get a F to Q adapter. at least then i could properly tripod the setup
something compels me to point the camera at the sky even without color, and every time i actually get to editing them i go "ehh whyyy". we know why, the sky is beautiful. but its hard to capture.
i think i still prefer doing tonecurves in rawtherapee then local contrast in darktable over agx :p #mymethod (theyre pretty similar in end result but my way just feels more predictable and consistent. using rawtherapee to create the shape of the curve then exposure tool works like the pivot and the local contrast stretching finetunes the curve and lets me choose whether i want a grayer more detailed image or a more smooth and high contrasty image which is like the black point white point settings i think but just. wayy more intuitive imo)
