Bug Man on his way to school

Based on a bit of graphics work I did for work today.

These are obscenely simplistic, because I spent a lot of time today on the coding of my game. You can now move between these two areas, complete with collisions. Well, it mostly works, anyway.

Busy with work today so not a ton of time.

  • Split the town into two "blocks" - residential and downtown. I found that a single block was just getting too crowded as I wanted to try adding stuff and seeing how the skyscrapers and smaller stuff all looked
  • Added a new skyscraper, tried to make it a more distinct shape from the last two

Felt like doing a little sci-fi today. I think I was trying to make a celestial star strip. I ended up with this... Not yet what envisioned, but ok of an effort in using original source material.

i live above a train track and city alleyway, and across from a parking garage and condominium

Spent a lot of time on this one. The snakes have a bezier curve modifier in blender, so they were easy to arrange. The render could be better, my computer was getting wierd from the work load so I ended up compositing a bunch of premature renders into one.

I'm slowly getting more comfortable drawing whole bodies in motion, but I still have issues quickly visualizing things I want to draw without having to practice drawing them over and over. After I finished working on croquis, I worked on some sketches of some of my characters.

Slept most of the day away after class/work. Doodled a little headshot from a game. (Will flip later!)

Today I filled a page trying to get the perspective I had in mind right for this boat and drawing Garden Gnomes. (I'm working on a writing project involving Garden Gnomes, and I'm thinking of illustrating it.) I should really get back to following my how-to-draw book, but I feel like I'm having more fun just working from my head.

As a bonus, have doodles I made in math class instead of paying attention: a bigger version of me in the pose from a couple days ago, some sort of Ryan Armand fan art, and a half-baked Wirt from Over the Garden Wall.
