3.1MP digicam with a prime lens, no focus, full auto, exposure comp -1.5 to +1.5, jpg and movie only, the buttons double press half the time, flash, and a tunnel viewfinder that is wayyyy wider than what you actually get.
a good candidate for opening up and forcing a new lens onto the front. the metadata reports it as a 9.7mm focal length so im guessing this is like a ~5x crop factor sensor so it's gotta be something wide angle.. but if i were to get any small wide angle lenses i'd be throwing them onto the pentax q lol. i'll test out its video capabilities later, hoping it's particularly crunchymushy.
the event had an opt-out from photos where people could wear neon wristbands, but in practice it's kinda impossible to tell who in the audience is actually wearing one cuz most of the time both of a persons wrists aren't visible, so i took it as an interesting limitation to crop and rotate heavy to get only the action in the shots. pretty fun stuff. shot with a manual focus 28mm on apsc so i had to be riiight up on the pool to get these shots. i'm still trying to get the oil out of my lens and camera heh.. a good pile more of these photos will end up here in the near future
nines does sequential documentation of a day that was way too hot but healing all the same.
cuddling by the fan, trying to beat the heat with the cats, cooling off in the library, reading comics, wandering down the street to get a drink and some gyros, back home and melting in the heat even as the sun sets, discovering the ac and watching star trek with the cat, then working on the house, hanging on the porch enjoying the breeze, ending the day with drinks on the curb
i miss: my cat, my friends, bidets, toilets, washing my hands, showers, baths, just really everything associated with having running water (turns out that was a cool invention [i wish public bathhouses existed here that would solve a lot of my problems right now]), air conditioning, insulated living spaces, the list goes on
i dont miss: the extreme psychological torture, having to drive like 30 minutes to ever do anything
let's see how long this lasts
first, what we were greeted with when we first arrived,
second, a view out of one of the windows,
third, a view of the new bridge to canada from the nearby boat launch that is fiercely guarded by a lot robocop
poisoned shadow sweeping across the land, a giant needle and thread, a cult who eats godslime to become children again
