Experimenting with texture this time for 60 minutes. The test object is the moon, with little modification. I still only use 4 colors to make this moon.
At first, I couldn't feel the texture. After I added some dithering near the bigger part of the cluster, I can feel the texture on the moon. After that I keep adding more dithering. Finally I can understand more on how to texturing.
Found a page with multiple comic expressions and had a try at copying them.

The shading effed up the hair and the expression. Really strong evidence that I need to either:
Step up my hatching game
OR
Get some grey ink
Getting back to make perfect loop gifs! The gifs i made some time ago was all made from scratch using GIMP, without using math (some i drew pixel by pixel)!
Now i'm setting up something to start make gifs using particles and moving it using trigonometry functions, then i edit it using GIMP!
I'm getting back to learn trigonometry for real... now it's for real!
I spent today practicing in my sketchbook to improve my draftsmanship. I still have issues drawing specific arcs towards my non-dominant hand. I have been using my Rapidograph pens more, but they kind of scratch up my sketchbook paper. I can't wait until my computer comes back so I can just work digitally again.
After working with subjective pieces for so long, it's good to cool down with some abstract art every once in a while. Thinking about using these pieces as textures or backgrounds to something else.
