Didn't have much time to draw today, but enough to see what happens when I rush instead of take my time with the study. Behold! the freaky thumb fist!

The lighting and positioning you decide on the fingers can make your hands look alien if done wrong. Note the borders of the skin also can give depth without actually doing it yourself!

It's the joints that really make things difficult. I think as long as I emphasize on the joints and deformity of skin, I can get better.
