Just wanted to paint something starting with a background colour again. The kanji in the centre can both read "Tai", and the WaniKani mnemonic for the first one says "imagine a big an in a tie-dye shirt" (it means big). It can also be read as "dai"... The second means body... *shrugs*

Because I'm in a slump, from an "inspiration" standpoint, I figured I'd get technical tonight. I wanted to see how well I could control the thickness of the brush pen lines. Specifically, if I could purposefully keep a line very thin. Not a bad start, if that's the rubric. (The top of the hair and the jaw line and front neck are my big whoopsies, for those grading at home.)

I spent most of today doing arm anatomy studies in my sketchbook and on Bristol board.
