ooh whee this handles images so different from how rawtherapee does, it's kind of dizzying. but dang, it does avoid some of the things that annoy me about rt so.... (this shot is Whatever, but ive been using it as my test shot for learning the ins and outs of dt)
edit: added 2 more pics that compare very similar intentions applied thru both programs, rawtherapee first and darktable second. darktable's results are just straight up noiser and sharper, much to my preferences c:
Just got an Arsat-H 50mm f/2, it's the smallest f-mount lens I have and I quite like the look it produces
high contrast - not how i usually would edit something like this, kinda strays from the lens' character, but i quite like the drama of it
ended up underexposing this shot a bit too much, the sunset was only like that for a few minutes though
double exposed with the Df's onboard multi-exposure mode, pretty pleasing result, probably shouldve shot the portrait darker though
cool!! i personally sticked with rawtherapee bcause i like having as much control as possible (even when it is unnecessary lol)
what i notice by eye is than your darktable output has stronger contrast, less distortion and probably sharpness enabled by default (sensible choice imo). it looks like there is strong dynamic range compression as well. cool aesthetic!
