Frenden released an update to his Manga Studio brushes! And I didn't give myself enough time today to accomplish anything notable. So here's me looking around, seeing which brushes I'll spend more time with.
I started this feeling pretty good still in the sketching stage. But into the coloring I kind of started to hate it... so that's where it's going to stay for now...
Today I felt like doing something simple and practice on drawing shapes. The shapes I tried to do were the following:
Sphere, tetrahedron, Cube
Mobius Strip, 16cell hexadecachoron( 4D tetrahedron), Tesseract (4D cube)
I can sort of get the Tesseract, but the 16cell... Also, tried doing a lighting source for all the objects, except for the 4D ones. I don't even know how lighting refraction would happen in a 4D object. Maybe start from inside one of the surfaces but then only perpendicular?
I drew a picture of a friend's character and some croquis today. Didn't get to do much else -- had to take care of the massive ice sheets that covered my property today!
Learning from my how-to-draw book again, this time with still lifes. (still lives?) I like figuring out the techniques and stuff. I'll probably start a different one tomorrow-- I messed up the angle of the book on this one somehow.
BONUS: Doodles from math class!
We're doing a [3-week! I don't know how to work that long on something] Multi-part project in art, so today I started with a rough sketch, but honestly don't know how I'm gonna drag it out far, but I'll figure it out. We were given (well, we swapped) objects wrapped in paper, and we have to draw
1) A picture of the wrapped object,
2) A picture of what we imagine could be in it (mine is obviously a spray paint can but I'll try and be creative), and
3) A picture of the real object, placed in a larger, creative composition
Also all the pictures are only charcoal, so idk how to spend that long on them:0
i drew a lot traditionally but i didnt feel like taking photos. so i sketched essentially all that i drew today summed up in one pic
Didn't have much time to make something good today, but I wanted to make something. Behold, the dancing mech of doom!
