I wanted to try graphics programming in Go so I started relearning opengl by building a library for creating looping animations (for weekly loop streak). This one is pretty basic because I had to write a lot of boilerplate.
The library lets me draw some shapes, and gives me a simple way to record the frames of the loop for packaging into a gif. Here's the source for this loop: https://github.com/leafo/weeklyloops/blob/master/loop1.go
I'll be uploading the code for all my weekly loops in this repository: https://github.com/leafo/weeklyloops
Very wip-y. Apologies. But, I ain't about to draw something else, even super quickly (like yesterday's.)
finished my end of a design trade for a friend!
i kinda goofed making it but salvaged my mistake
gotta be more careful!! >:o
I'm liking playing with this cheap crayon/pastels. This is an interpretation of the character in this cool-looking game called Sandstorm. By Daniel Linssen.
Some sketches I'm working on -- one is for a client, one is for myself. Neither are finished. The cyborg kid is mine, his name is Anthem.
Just a quick sketch today. It's a posing doll someone gave to me once :)
I almost forgot i had this thing. I should use it more, it's much better practice drawing from life than from photos and such
So I've been making art, which is all that matters to me, but I'm doing it and handing it in in art class so I guess I should take pictures first that way I can keep up this streak, although its less important now that I don't need the motivation.
Wish I had of taken a picture of those hands after I cleaned them up and played with a blending stump and they looked 100x better but oh well.
wip. really it's just art, but I like to do stuff like this to slowly figure out how a game will be.
