Trying to get back on my bullshit and have some more faster motorik krautrock going.

Spiritual successor to last week's track, again taken from our jam session this week. It's long but it's 2-3 tracks seamlessly blending to each other so I feel it makes this OK, right? :)

Remiced and slightly condensed the intro from last Tuesday's stream. It's long but I guess the excuse is that it goes through 3-4 different moods so it's not just one loop going forever.

For a difference, I feel good about this track.

I took an old project and tried to fix it. Not sure if it worked.

Re-arranged and mixed intro part from our jam last Tuesday. I am happy with it but also I feel like the drums don't sound correctly at all, and some elements are not nicely balanced.

Another reverb experiment, this time based on a part of our jam last Tuesday.

So I decided to experiment with some reverb as a sound design method, and I am quite happy with the results. I mean, of course I should be a lot more tasteful and not drown everything in it but hey this is just the first experiment, please give me a break. :) (Also I think it sounds gooood)

An outtake from this week's Tuesday jam. Very quick and rushed because I spent a lot of time rebuilding my studio setup after replacing my main audio interface.

This is the final part of our this week's stream, edited and arranged (and barely mixed).

The jam session in question (including some technical difficulties):

Incredibly rushed job to make a "track" out of the intro part of our Tuesday jam as I have been busy moving apartments for the last 3 days.

Also I discovered some incredibly annoying Ableton Live behaviour that still sends recorded MIDI CC to hardware even if the clip that sends it is muted. Or at least I think I did.

Quite happy with this one - once again it seems that the less time I have to make a track, the better it will be.

This is a part from our live stream on Tuesday, with some tweaks in arrangement:

My hard drive is almost full, so under the circumstances I needed to finish something older instead of creating yet another unfinished project.

I took the intro part of our last stream and got stuck with the initial moods, trying to build some calm ambient thing out of it. I am not sure if I succeeded.

Lossless on Soundcloud:

This was an experiment from January that I did not finish back then. It's really minimalistic and uses a lot of randomness and two PG8X VSTs (you can get it for FREE here: In the end I just added some random drums from Yamaha DTX12M and recorded some minutes of the output.

No change this week - once again I worked on a part of our stream with Tubular Corporation.

Not sure about how the arrangement and the track structure holds up, but I liked the sounds.

This week was busy, so I ended up reworking the intro part from our regular live stream.

I was quite stuck for inspiration last night, but I stumbled upon these two chords and that provided enough juice to finish this track.

Any parallels to War On Drugs are completely coincidental and all names-places-personalities are strictly fictional etc.

This is an edited-songified version of the intro part of our stream this week (

I feel it came out nicely as a really laid back ambient lounge something something tune, a nice end to this really busy week I have had.

(lossless version here

Even though it says 2021.01.21 I still worked on it this week so it counts, right? :)

This is the intro part from our streaming jam session that takes place every Tuesday evening 8.30PM Central European Time at

Another generative experiment, although I spent a lot more time on "finishing" this track.

I like how it sounds, let's see how I feel tomorrow.

Lossless on Soundcloud here

I am continuing with experimenting with the generative device I built in Ableton Live (see my previous submission for more info). This time it is the drums (Yamaha DTX Multi 12 with the new custom kits from Yamaha) doing random things as the other instruments are played more or less manually.

I did not spend a lot of time on this track, because I did not want to ruin it by overworking, but now I am quite happy with how it turned out. Also my main laptop is in repairs so I took out my 10y old backup which somehow managed to run Ableton Live 10 with all the bells and (not so many) whistles I like to have.

Find it in full lossless glory on my Soundcloud:

This was a really really quick track that I made to test out a generative plugin/rack I built for Ableton Live.

I put this thing on the rhodes, guitar and bass tracks, let it play for a while then recorded some drums.

Basically what I want to say is randomness is a great thing for kickstarting your insipiration if you are stuck. I hope you find this tool useful. :)

Finishing up this year by absolutely totally cheating and building a Pure Data patch that shoots generative MIDI sequences at my Roland XV-5080. I did not have time at all to mix and work on this more, so here you have a quite "raw" version of it.

Thanks to everyone who has listened, liked and commented. I hope you have a nice year end holidays time and that next year will be even better than this one!

Got one of those Yamaha drum pads and it turns out they are very nice for banging in rhythm parts.
