Keep to your streak guys, after 50 days I am taking a break from daily inkscape.
(With a lazy touchpad end of the road)
I went over the rabbit from yesterday and switched the inkscape lines from normal black to a shape along a path and changed the colors.
Should look more like pen strokes now. I think it worked out ok :)
(The right one is the one with the changes)
My wife left a rabbit sketch lying around (probably for me, also more then one but I'll to one at a time).
It went ok.. just.. never mirror (flip) it. Looks strange. (Not sure if that's the sketches fault or mine).

I checked out the latest tutorials by Chris here http://2dgameartforprogrammers.blogspot.de/ last night.
The roboter I just made is clearly inspired by it, but I didn't open up the tutorial doing it.
(In the hopes of doing/learning more myself)
It went ok ;)
I still should not do inkscape without any base drawing / picture / pattern / tutorial.
Something is still very off :(
Used color.adobe.com, picked a blue color and did the painting in the "shades"-palette the adobe tool created.
I am really not in the mood today.. so I just put together an effect that I want to put in my game when you gather up a golden egg.
(Simple inkscape star + rotation, alpha and scale animation in spriter.)
... inspired by another user, check out the original: squirt from bastion.
Tried to go for cuter (reworked the eyes for that obviously).
Tried to get a comic outline (but only on the outside, kind of like a cartoon shader effect).
And finally tried to remap the "highlights" and "shadows" into pure black and white transparency to easily change the colors. (had to work a lot with shape differences to get that working - because shapes can't overlap anymore if they are transparent).
I am looking for a simple enemy.. like a goombas in mario.
Experimenting around. Not sure why I went with blue.
Just a quick doodle "thingy" today.
About "path effects" patterns along path.. also works for text ;)
