so i followed through on my word and tried a few iterations with shorts or...leggings or whatever. getting closer to a finished product, but still got some tweaking to do.

smoli suggested looking into gothic lolita fashions for lana's outfits and that really seemed to help! i kinda struggled with simplifying those intricate outfits and in the end i just threw a bunch of pieces that i liked in certain outfits together. i found that i don't really like the dressy or skirted bottoms. will do more iterations with the shorts in the future

more ancient artifacts i dug up from a year ago (around october 2015) of some of the first character designs for lotti and elaina. i think their names were like...ami and eli or something. lotti has drastically changed, lol. but looking at the old work gave me the right motivation to try to draw them updated. i'm on a mission to make smolio a coloring book out of my drawings (one of these days)

trying to think up outfit ideas for lana and this is what i've sorta always had in mind for her, though I kinda shamelessly copied Re-L's design from Ergo Proxy (a major inspiration for Elaina). I imagine that once I study certain articles of clothing more, i'll figure out exactly what I want to do with her design instead of just drawing random clothing lines, lol, like the floof on top eventually will look more like feathers and she may actually have fishnets or thigh high boots on and so on and so forth.
