smoli suggested looking into gothic lolita fashions for lana's outfits and that really seemed to help! i kinda struggled with simplifying those intricate outfits and in the end i just threw a bunch of pieces that i liked in certain outfits together. i found that i don't really like the dressy or skirted bottoms. will do more iterations with the shorts in the future

I've been fiddling with the idea of an extinct alien species with one surviving member. for some reason, I think it would be nice if they looked more bug-like, having several arms and wings and antenna like appendages. will see where it goes

@luckcharm gosh, thanks! it's so hard to see if you're improving from day to day, but that practice really does add up! i like the coloring you did in a recent picture, it gave off a really nice warm glow and don't worry backgrounds are really scary to almost all of us on here (except stephan, he's such a master at landscapes)
