Game Genre: 2D, arcade, infinite hack and slash

Platform: PC, mobile

This game is inspired by the story "The Little Prince".

In Low the Mawn, players play as a lawn mower on a circular planet ever so small. Unfortunately, the planet is always growing with weeds. Players must mow the ground all the time to keep the planet clean.

If some plants are left alone, they will grow into an enormous plant monster that becomes very difficult to mow, but gives a lot of money when mowed down. When the planet reaches a point of no return, players can activate a skill that can be used only every 24 hours – a fire. They will set the entire planet in a blazing fire to kill off everything. Unfortunately, players will not receive any money for the destroyed plants.

The movements are simple. Players can move left and right to move and mow the ground at the same time. As players mow the ground, the mown weed can be sold off as money. This money can be used to buy upgrades for the lawn mower.

Upgrading comes in many different parts:

Lawn mower wheels: improves the speed of the movement.

Lawn mower blades: improves the cutting speed.

Lawn mower case: improves weight, allowing it to be durable.

Overview: is an experimental music game based around the idea of constructing a character through the way you play the music track. Each song the player goes through creates a new character who goes on to populate a small spherical world. Depending on the number of characters there are within the world, structures can begin to form. The way they are built is tied to their character traits and creation.

Mechanics: With each song the player plays along to the further their character will progress visually. Should they mess up the song as they press keys to the beat the character will become less colourful and intricate, slowly dissolving infront of the player. Depending on how the character is built by the end of the song they can then use this to populate their 'world'. Each worldspace will be overall affected by the characters that inhabit it, and depending on how they were built, the structures they build will reflect this.

The way the characters look and react however isn't inherently tied to how well the player did with the song, it also works off the music the player decides to import and use to play the game. Should the music be low tempo and calm, the character build will adjust itself accordingly.

You have been left in this world for some reason that you do not know. You don't remember anything about your past except the bright flash, the searing pain.. and then you were here. In somebody's body... someone yo don't know. You only know for sure that this body doesn't belong to you. You want to find out what happened, find your own body, remember who you really are.

In this game the player has lost his body in some weird accident that he / she has no memory of. He has to help the protagonist find out what truly happened and find the the one responsible to be able to free himself. This is a detective game, where you have to solve puzzles, ask the right questions, and use the full power of your soul by transferring between bodies to gain access to otherwise inaccessible areas. If you want to gain access to the police evidence warehouse you need to be a policeman. What can be easier? Find a pretty girl, transfer your soul to her body, then find a policeman and seduce him. You can only transfer souls when the other person is in some kind of weakened state, otherwise they will unknowingly resist you.

There is no death in this game. If you die - you can most likely transfer into the first person that will come to check on your body, be it a policeman or an accidental witness. The end goal is to find the reason why you have been given this ability and unravel the mystery looming over this wretched city.

Contract is a game that seeks inspiration from the antiheroes from game and film, names of which include Boba Fett (Star Wars), Django (Django Unchained) and Samus Aran (Metroid). The basic premise of this game is a sci-fi interpretation of cops and robbers. The gameplay seeks influence from the Assassin's Creed multiplayer, which involves killing contracts – however this differs as it has a wider playing field, set galaxy wide.

The single player portion will consist of the player taking on the role of a bounty hunter, waiting for contracts and picking up suspicious activity through universal broadcasts. Once the player has accepted a contract, they will be given a rough idea of which sector their target is in, however the rest involves a very detective-esque type of gameplay.

For the multiplayer portion, players can take on the bounty hunter role, or the victim on the contract. The goal of the victim is to avoid discovery, implementing a stealth aspect as local technology will send information to the bounty hunter if caught on tape.

Features:

  • Galaxy-wide game of cops and robbers
  • 2D pixel style
  • Stealth
  • Detective genre with violence/aggression
  • Single and multi-player

The Brewsman is a brewing simulator, in which the player has just taken control of a bare garage with plenty of space and a couple of tanks in which they can brew alcohol to their hearts desire. The player starts off with a couple of recipes for brewing simple beer and wine. They must then brew these batches and take them to the brewsman for taste testing, and if they have followed the recipe well and attain a high rating the player unlocks more recipes to try and brew. Different recipes require different ingredients, and the player must trade their alcohol stock for ingredients at the market place. Alcohol can be saved in the players stockpile, and certain types gain value over time as they become vintage (wines in particular.) Over time, your equipment may wear down if not carefully maintained, and incorrect usage can cause your equipment to become broken, leading to a long time delay while you purchase new gear.

In a bid to encourage people to be more active and live a healthier lifestyle, 'Live!' is a game where players earn in-game currency by completing real world activities - such as yoga, pilates, running/ walking, eating a balanced diet ( e.g. 5+ fruit/ vegetables per day), gym classes, weights, sports etc. 'Live!' will integrate with major Fitness apps such as 'my fitness pal', Fitbit and 'zombies, run!'. The USP of 'Live!' is that in-game currency can be used in a puzzle game (akin to those in Luminosity) where currency must be used to unlock certain stage levels rather than through Facebook integration. The puzzle levels are designed to improve your cognitive skills, and will be based off a series of neurological tests designed to challenge you. 'Live!' aims to take the stress out of living healthily by making into a game, and to add a bit of self-motivation and healthy competition between friends.

Strategic turnbased RPG game with a focus on scavenging and crafting supplies where you are a ragged old warrior in a desolate, volcanic ashland. This medieval-fantasy land used to be green and idyllic, until the days of Ragnarok - the end times of legend - tore the land asunder and began a godly war the land would not recover from until the days of rebirth, far in the future. But you survived Ragnarok, hiding while the gods fell dead and thunder tore the sky apart. You used to be a King's prized warrior, before you broke away from the politics and formed a band of elite mercenaries, living off the rough. A few of these mercenaries survived with you - only to find the land barren of bounty and full of mutated, feral creatures, with remaining resources few and far between. As you clamber back to the earth's surface in the wake of the reckoning, you saw a twisted landscape where ash darkened the skies and fire seethed beneath the cracks.

--

Together with what is left of your group, you managed to fortify a base camp in the ruins of a small castle town. The wooden buildings were burned to cinders, but the stone structures still remained. Outside your camp, giant vermin and spiders crawl in the mountains, and the animate blood of the innocent still wanders the land, made restless by lives ended early. But others survived too - and many have become bandits or rogues, ambushing anyone they can find for supplies. You and your group have decided to fight for order in the wastes; battle monsters for experience and ingredients towards potions and new equipment, stock up your supplies back at base for the days ahead, then hunt down bandits and their leaders who would prey on the weak for scraps.

"If hanging out with smart people makes you smarter, does hanging out with dumb people make you dumber?" - Quora.com

Why yes! Yes it does! At-least it does in Knowledge is Power. Knowledge is Power is an arcade(-yish) style game similar to the popular game "Agar". It has a few differences though (otherwise it'd be a copyright infringement). One important difference in Knowledge is Power is that it is not online.

But Ambie, I hear you ask, there are already plenty of games like Agar that are not online and many of them involve fish! How is yours different?

In Knowledge is Power you need to "hang out" with people smarter than you (as indicated by a slightly larger size and a green colour base) until you are as smart as them (they will be yellow and the same size as you). You need to do your best to literally cling onto them using the arrow keys as they try and escape you (by out-maneuvering you) and keep their own intelligence.

Once you have the same intelligence as your new best friend, they will continue trying to ditch you. This is because, so long as they are with you they can't befriend someone smarter than them and gain knowledge themselves. But there's a reason why you might not want to leave them yet.

Opposite to smart people are dumb people (as represented by a smaller size than you and a red colour base). These clingy people will attempt to hang out with you as much as they can and will consume your hard earned knowledge until they are as smart as you (or you are as dumb as them). There is a good thing about them though, stupid people make loyal friends. If you have been ditched by your smarter-than-you friend and have a lot of stupid people hunting you down, you can grab onto the smartest of the bunch. If they are close enough to your intelligence, they will quickly become yellow friends (the same intelligence as you) and will follow you around preventing stupid people from joining you. This works as a pause function for if you want to go afk, but it also allows you the freedom to find a smart person at your own pace without worrying about all the stupid. Then you can ditch your friend in order to join the smart one and voila, progress.

Energist is an arcade style side-scrolling endless runner where you play as a spark, and is designed to be a Perpetua game.

Your job it to navigate the spark through an increasingly difficult minefield of rubber plates, wooden boards, and other insulators. This isn't just your standard endless runner though, because not only must you avoid the obstacles, but your also have the ability to enter certain materials in your path, in order to get a slight speed boost. Charge into a rubber boot, and it's run over, but charge into a sword, and you will instantly be zapped to the other end of the sword, avoiding any and all obstacles in the way.

There are several modes to Energist, and each of them bring a new gimmick to the core gameplay:

There is the standard endless mode, where you aim to get the highest score you can by surviving as long as possible.

Accelerator mode forces the player to hit Charge Points in order to pick up more charge, and continue going. If the player fails to hit a certain amount of these, they will run out of charge and be unable to continue, thus ending the run.

Lastly, 4-Player mode allows four players to play against each other on the same run, with every power-up and score item being single-use, meaning only one player can grab it. The objective is to outlast all your opponents, while collecting the highest score possible. This is where the main meat of the game is.

Gameplay features:

  • Addicting gameplay - you can always do better!
  • Perpetua sync - your points will carry over!
  • Let the sparks fly!

This is a game all about death... In this game the player controls a Jelly Baby, and has to guide this Jelly through a series of obstacles to make it to the end, the only problem is that these obstacles are extremely hard and would be impossible to do in one life. That is where the unique Jelly mechanic comes into play. When the player dies on an obstacle, they leave behind their Jelly which will in some way disable traps and provide assistance through obstacles. Each coloured Jelly will have a different death animation and different effects on the obstacle course therefore, the player has to choose carefully how they die and what colour Jelly they are when they die.

This is a puzzle platformer which will require a lot of skill to complete as well as thinking outside of the box. With lots of different colours of Jellies to choose from, there is a number of ways players can choose to complete each level.
