Wound the variegateds and the Coloris, filling one box.

Finished combing the BFL.

Skeined and washed the Polwarth yarn (tentative name: Alicorn Barf).

Predrafted and started spinning one of the silk gradients.

ONWARDS TO TDF

Plied the Polwarth. Started combing and blending the BFL gradients I like the least. Wound all the Color Variations floss: 60 down, 465+24 to go...

Combed the Polwarth. Plyed the alpaca (2-ply main skein and chain-plied leftover). Started spinning the Polwarth

Package prep (added leader on spindle, picked wool, skeined more Lovikka, twisted mini-skeins) and a pitiful two rows of Woodland

Made tiny skeins to dye for fibreshare. Plied a bit

Since I'm textile-deprived for ten days, I'm going to sketch and plan. Some drafts for kitchen towels

Checking colors and texture before casting on Woodland

Finished the warp, spread it, realize I warped 20 instead of 10 somewhere, unravel that, beamed it up while compensating for uneven tension, finally started threading. GAH.

"But it looked so easy in the video!" Yeah, the lady in the video has probably done it 100 times

Hackled the three other braids. Total waste is ~30%, which is standard. Will make those into sock yarn, hopefully

Finished up the green yarn.

Tried out hackling with some of my hand-dyed commercial top: lots of waste, messy diz job but lovely results

Balled up tons of yarn and cast on a brioche cowl. Pattern has missing instructions so need to frog a row already

Getting started on the HV application

Prepared my hand-dyed Polwarth for a fractal spin.

Confirmed that my inkle loom's tension block is angled and therefore totally unusable. After hours warping it of course. Not happy

Spun some more of my hand-dyed merino, and reskeined some yarn. The lace was broken in two places :( But since I already got a correction as they had sent me chunky instead of sock yarn, I'm just going to avoid that yarn from World of Wool. Said belated sock yarn is on the left, and has been reskeined as smaller groups to try and dye stripes.

Made a swatch for the Water shawl. Concluded that DROPS Lace just won't do cables

Made a new warp at the class! It's nice and even and tight, and this time I made chains both at the top and bottom to keep it more even

Made a swatch with 7mm, lovely texture but well below 18st/4in.

Frogged, made a yarn ball.

Reswatched in 6mm, 16st/4in.

Reswatched in 5mm, didn't even count as the texture was awful.

I think I'll go with 7mm and do some math to make it work
