gosh i had forgotten how adorable she is
sweet babe
i included an old pictured i drew of her just for the lols by comparison. makes me feel like i'm getting better at drawing. when i constantly feel like i'm getting worse
i wanted to draw a cottage in the woods, so i drew out some ideas and kinda got the general idea of what i wanted at the top (not very good at using perspective, but tried)
and then there's exclusive footage of a couple being old and cute (featuring minor hand improvement, should've done more hand practices)
not really sure where i was going with this
edit: i remembered what i was doing. caption for the bottom pic that got left out said "is this a joke! what do you think you're going to do with that half breed woman?"
experimenting with more black and white, lost focus towards bottom of picture (very tired) and more satisfied with the top half
oddly enough i find coloring in black and white soothing. was too lazy too look up ref on how to shade properly, but ended up spending more time than originally intended on these pictures
i originally intended the purpose of this to be something else, but now it just looks like a cute group pic
draw cleanly, i said. it'll be easy, i said.
i really have to make my mind up on what i want the pawn's armor to look like
i don't know whether or not i should stick with the sketchy-ness of the original that seems to have more character, or go for cleaner lineart because i really don't have patience for the latter (as evidenced below), not to mention that it looks flatter (but more anatomically correct!). i don't really seem to have that problem when I ink traditionally, maybe i just need to find out what works best for me that doesn't wear down my nerves
observe as my skill with drawing girls is superior to my skill with drawing guys. may try coloring later
