The rules are simple:

  • pick at least ONE day a week and avoid eating meat on that day. (I do mine on Mondays, obviously.)
  • Bonus points for each additional day a week! :)
  • Share any favorite or go-to recipes that helped you make it through the day.

Why would you possibly want to try eating less meat? Well, to help our planet. According to reports, "the global livestock industry produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all cars, planes, trains and ships combined." It is said that diet changes can substantially lower emissions! Plus, cutting down on meat intake is actually good for you, and there are many healthy alternatives.

So let's do are part, y'all. One meatless day at a time!

No meat on Monday!

I missed Monday and accidentally ate meat :( I ate meatless the next day.

I've been off my jam for myfitnesspal, so I'm not sure about any additional days. Recommitting to accurate food journaling for this week!

So far 3 days meatless this week!

Some meatless protein alternatives I enjoyed: tofu, egg, nuts.

EDIT: I am just going to update everyday, so that I can keep track easier.

Was Meatless on Monday. Meant to keep track of the other days I didn't eat meat this week, but I didn't. :/

There were 2 days this week that I didn't eat meat. I also noticed that on the days that I didn't eat meat, my meals were much leaner.
