thanks everyone! It's not a spooky forest per se, but it is supposed to be an old-ish forest, and that orangy color was really bugging me. Also, I really wanted more realistic shading. I suppose once I put all the trees together in the forest, if it looks off I can always change it!

the tree on the right looks a lot more vibrant! unless you're going for a spooky forest, in which case, the one of the left would probably look better

The one on the left is much nicer to look at - smoother! I think it needs a bit of color in it though.. some reddish browns or something. It looks really desaturated.

I think the new one is an improvement. I like that brown colour more. My wife still prefers the right one, because it looks so friendly. :)
