Streak Club is a place for hosting and participating in creative streaks.
photo 5 is a house that i am driven by on a regular basis and every time I had seen it I was thinking to myself "ohhh I want to photograph it" and yesterday (as of today) was the first day that I remembered I would be driving past it and had my camera ready to shoot it...
...but if I stand normally on the edge of the bathtub, my shoulders up disappear. Hence the pose.
Toyfriend has been pointing out the beauty of tone in photos to me. So today, I took particular attention to that. I used a parametric tone curve and considered how the detail in the shadows disappeared as I clipped them to black.
The other day, I thought about how streak club asks how you feel about each submission you make. I don't remember ever checking the "I'm not proud of it" button and wondered what it would take to make me click it for a submission. It was interesting to me to explore that. Due to the formatting of the prompt, where pride is contrasted with feeling neutral, I have interpreted "I'm not proud of it" to mean I actively feel shame about this submission. I looked through my photo collection for photos that made me feel ashamed. The photos I am sharing with this submission make me feel ashamed because of the process leading to me having taken and shared them, not the quality of the actual image.
Have you ever checked "I'm not proud of it" when submitting?
