study
attempt at mimicking the overly cheap aspect of some early y2k digicams, from a picture i took with my Z30 (24 megapixel mirrorless)
the steps
this is not the first time i downscaled an image for noise
ideas to make it more interesting:
these raws are weeeeeird to work with, very green highlights and color shifts on the sides, but still holy shit they look good even pushed
one of the test pictures i did with a sigma dp1 merrill. the raws look amazing, i'm blown away. i didn't expect the sensor technology to make such a big difference. zoom in on this picture, the details are insane for a 15 megapixels sensor. color looks great too, but i think this camera truly shines in b&w
400 iso, ~0.6s exposure, i can't remember the aperture
first picture taken with my first c-mount lenses (by accident?)
i don't think i'll use it much outside due to how eye catching the setup is, however i love being able to see the entire image projected by the lenses w/o being cropped into a stupid rectangle. circle photography be poppin

@999999999 extreme cropping should work yeaaah, don't know why i didn't think bout that in the first place. as a perk, this should completely get rid of distortion since most lenses are perfect in the center
i like the result of ur experiment here!
random thoughts:
ive thought about experimenting with extreme cropping for emulating digicam looks. like, say, take a full frame image then crop it down to whatever size a say 1/2.3" sensor wouldve taken with that lens, giving u the resolution and focal length multi. of the smaller sensor. u probably also want to shoot with as tight of an aperture as u can manage cuz those lil sensors have such crazy deep depth of field. plus the longer shutter times youd need to compensate would be more accurate
i think doing a photo outing and trying to shoot for this kind of processing could be a fun challenge
