@Mossy I’d like to hear more about your story, but I get it if you’re not quite ready to share lol.
Some of the drawings on the first spread of designs were also great and pretty much got that brief character description across. Even though I really like the fancier embroidery, I can see how that might be distracting in the design. Experimenting and brainstorming will definitely help.
@aromoma thanks for the feedback! i do like the short sleeve version, but I’m not sure it fits this character... I like the first one the most, i might try a variation with fancier embroidery on the sleeves. Though there are so many options and I’m very indecisive 😅
i’m glad to hear these are a bit better than the previous ones, means I’m learning ^^ As for the character, he’s definitely a traveler, probably more of a trader and scholarly type than a healer. Though I suppose selling medicine could also fit. I want to figure out an outfit that’s elegant but not too fancy... hmm... Might have to do some more character/backstory brainstorming for ideas.
i have to say the one i like the most is probably bottom right (the shorter sleeves hit my eye better). I really like the top right a lot, though! it's probably because i'm a sucker for the geometric patterns + eastern asian inspired clothing.
these designs i feel like have a bit more personality to them than the previous ones, but honestly it comes down to your worldbuilding and what specifically what you want to convey. i can tell that this character seems like a traveler, maybe someone who goes around collecting plants and herbs for medicines? would love to see more 😊

I would tell you more about the story except I don't really have one, at least not for this character. It's more of a setting I created for the aesthetics and I transferred some of my preexisting characters into it. In a previous iteration I did have a storyline for him but the setting's changed a lot since then...
I do have some other story ideas for the same setting, but I haven't gotten around to writing them out, maybe I'll revisit them at some point.
