i always manage to draw them better when i'm not trying (see bottom left corner, which is more of how i intended for them too look)
i based them heavily off of betta fish, so just pretend that i colored them really pretty vivid colors. These pretty guys below are all male. Females will look vastly different, though i haven't decided on exactly how different

tablet wasn't working today, so had to go old school.
I've been fiddling with the idea of an extinct alien species with one surviving member. for some reason, I think it would be nice if they looked more bug-like, having several arms and wings and antenna like appendages. will see where it goes
