@ReKamirei

Oh, I really like the effect of the markers over colored pencils. I'll have to try it sometime! Thanks for sharing!

@Moon Goddess @RiversReverie I used colorpencils and markers. I used color pencils for the purple, for the red parts I used a red colorpencil and used a marker over it. Thank you!

My favorite bird!!! I used the brown marker first and colored in around them. The face is in opposite order first, colorpencils first and then markers. The colors I used were the bright ones, and later dulled them gently with an eraser. For the white spaces, I lightly colored them with a silver color pencil.

The feathers are the same concept from the Diamond throated Humming bird, but not in the same iridescent scale.

Long Tailed Widowbird have red color feathers. I used markers over the sketches.

I used this photo for reference: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/95349717086015745/

I'm very happy with how the lines turned out to create the shape. and outlines of the feathers. I've been wanting to to use a lighter color as a n outline other than black.

I love Bleeding Heart Doves. I used markers and outlines the gems with a micron pen.

The eyes on the feathers are pearls in different colors. It was kind of difficult to pick the colors for pearls since they reflect, but not too much. I used color pencils and used a grey stabilo pen to outline the pearls so that they would look softer.

I tried to give the bill some lines to reflect the structure of an emerald, also some of the feathers have green undertones and slight shape of the structure. It would've been fun if I gave the other colors on the beak structure too so it's like different gems on the beak.

I used colorpencil for the yellows and brown. and markers for the reds and blue. The feathers/ body I colored first with green color pencil and layered it with black marker and colored greens in more so they popped out against the black.

I wanted to diamonds with colors and I thought it would go well with a hummingbird's iridescent feathers. So I thought of a hummingbird with colored diamonds feathers.

I used colorpencils and lined it with a Micron 03 pen. I also had to edit the background since the picture from the page behind it was bleeding into the background.

I tried to play with the feather to give them a solid structure to reflect the structure of Aquamarines. I used stabilo pens to outline the dove and later colored it in with colorpencils.
