this is a really bad sketch i inked only to see it better. i'm not comfortable at all drawing human forms, but i wanted to draw myself having a tea party with my future arch nemesis

I've been fiddling with the idea of an extinct alien species with one surviving member. for some reason, I think it would be nice if they looked more bug-like, having several arms and wings and antenna like appendages. will see where it goes

The eyes were the first thing I looked at in the Azuma, haha. And I just wing it with iris placement, every single time. Hope for the best. Like you, I've been meaning to learn how to draw the rest of the eye. Someday!

i don't like drawing pupils because there's a certain placement you need to give them to make it look...correct. i tend to just like the shape of the eye itself. i'm trying to push myself to draw the whole eye, as you can probably see in some of the more recent pokemon pictures... (with a bit of light reflection which is more than i've ever done)
animal eyes are especially weird because they usually don't have irises.
Nope, this is perfect and the best. This is really cute!!
Also, I've JUST realized that we draw the opposite parts of eyes. Combined, we draw a full eye.
