In Activisions game The Legend of Korra there is a bonus mode called pro bending mode which this is semi based off, I just thought it would be so cool to see so many avatar fans of both Korra and Aang be able to play it physically, and if this was played on the oculus or hololenz it would be next level!!!
I would first add kinetic or wii or something with a camera and/or sensory kit to be able to detect the player's movement so that the player has to learn all the different types of stances and movements based on their choices.
Each player can choose which nation they would like to be from will be put through one quick dummy round to teach and collaborate between the player and the system the different stances and movements as will generate different moves as in the show, the earth benders can throw discs, boulders, put up a wall and much more so each nation will be different and there would need to be both attacking and defensive moves.
Players will be able to choose their team mates if they are of the same nation. Aang and Korra can be chosen but their bending will be limited to the player's skillset and nation.
The same game rules will apply where you can dodge and counter attacks and move through zones and the rounds are 3 minutes long the same of the show.
As you play through the game you will come across multiple nations and even your own. If you win you gain XP and if you lose you don't, another perspective brought in is possible online multi-player where you could verse other people of the same level.
As a bonus battle round you could add a mode purely for Avatars and allow them to lead their own choice of other characters based from both books as their team mates as with the first, for example Kyoshi as earthbending, Roku as firebending, Aang as Airbending and Korra as waterbending.
In the avatar mode in the last round both Avatars go into Avatar state making hits to anyone who isn't an Avatar potentially critical so you need to protect your other players at the same time as trying to defeat the others.
