Looking for My Sunshine
The story starts of with a tree seed falling off and landing on the ground, fast forwarding through time it starts to sprout. The seed has taken root and grown up to something that looks like baby groot from guardians of the galaxy. Until darkness overshadows the baby tree leaving no sunlight for it to grow.
The game is designed as a 2D adventure, puzzle-platform giving the player the goal to traverse through the jungle and reach the outskirts where there is plenty of room and sunlight for it to. Just like many 2D platform games like Inside, Song of the Deep and Unravel. The player is set to challenge and solve obstacles that stops them from continuing moving forward. Other than obstacles stopping the player they also need to solve it fast because the baby tree slowly loses Health points when staying in the shade/darkness. They only way for it to regenerate health is when the player stand under spots of sunlight. There are times the player must be wary of are birds who might mistake the plant to be a stick insect and overgrowth weeds that might trap the player.
Game play is simple and not too technical. Where the main selling point of this game is the aesthetic of graphics and music. Targeting the casual audience or people who love puzzles.
