'A Symphony for War' is a 2D Fighting Game with a high emphasis on music for PS4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.
The game would release with an initial cast of 8 fighters, all wielding a musical instrument. The main draw of the game, apart from its balanced competitive nature, would be the improvisational music that would be created from stringing combos together. Every character's attack would produce a note or a set of notes, and depending on the follow-ups available the ensuing combo would produce a melody, with a small random factor thrown in.
Therefore, the game would combine the competitive drive of battle with the grace of a well composed Sonata.
The game's backgrounds would include forests, cathedrals, event halls and other glamorous settings. Elements in the backgrounds, like the trees' leaves, chandeliers in the ceiling and candles on the halls would all react to violent impact and strong sounds (picture the mentioned items shaking).
The game would have online matchmaking, both casual and ranked, so that players can fight and compare their skills with others.
