'Below the Surface' is a 2D exploration, puzzle and environmental combat game for the PC.

In a world in which none know what lies at the core of the earth, the mining revolution of 3145 led the citizens of the world to dig and dig, knowing not what lay at the end. They were met with a metal layer of unbelievable strength, and none dared to venture further.

None but the player, of course. The player takes the role of the only explorer who never gave up, trying to dig at various spots in the planet until finally breaking through. But what the explorer found was a long fall as the ground crumbled; a lucky landing in a body of water- and an ancient, abandoned world. The only light sources being the never seen before plants and thankfully still functional helmet's lamp.

The player must use his wit to explore this hidden world, uncover clues about the civilization, restore ancient machines and fight their way through the hostile, yet luminescent flora and fauna to return to the surface. The player can jump and click to interact with the environment, responses being contextually sensitive.

While survival is a priority, the underground world is full of relics and other historically priceless objects. Collecting them all will lead to an extra ending upon escaping to the surface and bestow achievements to the player.
