You play as Joff Bobberson, the founder of Bobberson's transportation, a game simulating (I'm sorry) the running of an international freighting company, that deals in transporting goods by land, air and sea. You as the founder must plan out the routes your vehicles will take in order to deliver their cargo, using a GPS tool very similar looking to google maps, however you must grow your business starting from the bottom; A moving van.
As you book and complete jobs Bobberson's transportation will gain revenue which you can then invest into new equipment for your company, these can range anywhere between office upgrades (including software, hardware and employees) to new vehicles. The aim of the game, in a similar nature to "Game Dev Story" for android/IOS is to make as much money as possible within a set amount of years. As you upgrade your business, greater opportunities come to your company, beginning from simple house moving jobs to the far more lucrative business of transporting oil. On top of which, you will have to decide which countries you want to transport cargo/goods to and for, taking into account the exchange rates for currency and basic macro economic concepts to maximize your revenue.
Things can also go wrong if you plan the wrong journey for your trip, you can miss the deadline that has been set, or alternatively if you are taking said cargo by air or sea, run through stormy weather, increasing the chance of a crash, or by sea run the risk of running into pirates. Naturally there will also be pricey upgrades that reduce the the chances of these things happening, but that are still a possibility throughout the game. In short, Bobberson's transportation is a business/economic simulator game where players have to make as much money as humanly possible in the shortest amount of time.
