You begin the game at the peak of human space exploration, we have perfected the art of interplanetary travel and we are now seeking willing applicants to go and inhabit the planets, first surrounding our galaxy, then expanding out to the others in our universe. You play as NASA who perform the following tasks recruiting, terraforming, sending out space expeditions and managing the economies/trading between the colonies and earth.

You begin with very limited funding from the government and have to slowly build up your net worth to a point where you are able to return a profit, in regards to both your spending, government funding and trading. Trading will be your primary source of income, and your means to set out on new expeditions. You will have to manage your resources carefully, while the rare resources from the planets you are inhabiting are worth lots of money elsewhere, you will need to invest the resources to ship them etc. You will need to manage these things in 'real time' obviously sped up to a degree that means you aren't waiting years for your space ships to travel to other planets etc.
