I wrote a bit more than two pages of a novel I'm working on. I'm quite happy about it, I haven't written any fiction like that in a month and a half!

For some reason I had this idea... What if Mermaids came from space? What would their spaceship look like? A goldfish!

Here are some in-progress sketches - I've been doing this about an hour so I might put the finished coloured piece up later tonight or tomorrow.

The following was taken from my Ello account, as part of a comment/post regarding the evils of Facebook:

"We are living in the future now - a future that Science Fiction has been warning us about for decades. 1984, Continuum, and The Matrix (come on, "social network" is totally a wool being pulled over our eyes) are all happening now. Who's to know how many other Sci-fi storylines are closer to fact than fiction these days? And the tablets and smartphones we use? Well, they look a lot like what I've seen people on the Enterprise and Voyager use for many years. We're in the future, and currently, the one we are creating is more than a bit scary. (The way Facebook collects data in the above article also brings Skynet to mind.) Let's stop some of it before it starts, and let's create a better future. Together. As Humans."
