I've listened to this album so many times since I was a kid. I think John Coltrane was the subject of one of my elementary school writing assignments. He was born and raised in North Carolina!

In the first week of this year, I went to a Sunday service at the Saint John Coltrane African Orthodox Church in Fort Mason and we listened to A Love Supreme all the way through together and I cried and I think that's where I got the idea to listen to more albums in one sitting this year.
