I've listened to this album so many times since I was a kid. I think John Coltrane was the subject of one of my elementary school writing assignments. He was born and raised in North Carolina!
In the first week of this year, I went to a Sunday service at the Saint John Coltrane African Orthodox Church in Fort Mason and we listened to A Love Supreme all the way through together and I cried and I think that's where I got the idea to listen to more albums in one sitting this year.

Electric Relaxation (A Tribe Called Quest, 1993) was playing at a loud restaurant last night; we couldn't hear it well but I thought it was Mystic Bounce (Madlib, 2003) and Michael thought it was Forbidden Fruit (J. Cole ft. Kendrick Lamar, 2013)
