Uncharted Seas made to be close to a sailing simulator with a few changes and short cuts because sailing a ship is obviously very complicated. The basic premise of the game is that you're an ambitious man or women beginning their life as a captain of a small ship for the first time, after learning the basics of the game you can chose between 3 main pathways, joining the British Navy which focuses on military force type objectives, 2nd is joining the Spanish which has a larger focus on economy and trading between the ports and excels in amassing great wealth and power/influence, the 3rd option is Pirating focusing mostly on betrayals and pillaging trading ships and rising in notoriety.

In any pathway you choose there is always space to change sides and given the freedom of choice you have in the game you often have the opportunity to change your mind, though always changing sides can slow down your progress and make you miss out on other bonuses. A major part of the game is gaining the gold and experience by completely high difficulty missions to upgrade your ship and rank, you can also hire better crew or if you're good at sea battles your crew can gain experience and become more efficient in all areas.

As seen in the image the game is best enjoyed by a 3rd perspective of the ship you sail but can also be played in an adjustable birds i view, this would be used mostly for strategy in sea battles as all factors can play into the outcome of a battle, like the speed/maneuverability of the ship, its strength and its crew, the direction and power of the wind and your ability to use it to your advantage. In the bird's eye view you can turn on strategy mode to see water currents, wind speed/direction, ships stats and other guides.

The game can be played on consoles such as XboxOne and PS4 as well as computer. Your hud shows you a multi-purpose compass showing you the direction of your ship as well as doubling as the wheel of the ship to control direction, you also have a mini map and the stats of your ship and crew which can all be toggled on and off. The game is complicated but is near accurate to the knowledge needed to sail a ship but if you master the game you can also play online and test your strategy against other players on equal footings.

New Heights; A simple game where you play a lil avatar scaling a wall.

It's a mobile app where the game scrolls upwards and you swipe to each part of the wall to climb up. You determine the path the climber will take so that he/she can avoid obstacles.

Obstacles included are bombs, wall bandits, very large spiders, birds, etc.

As your character reaches further up the tower, the amount of space to maneuver around obstacles and set a path to each ledge becomes thinner and requires more concentration. Once your character gets to the top you have essentially finished the first level.

The levels following the first level, as outline above, begin to change up the amount of space and direction the character has to climb at random, inclusive of increased obstacles. Each level becomes more and more difficult, and the game is designed in a way so that new stages can be drip fed to the user base in order to keep the content fresh and relevant.

Under Control is a virtual reality game set in Ridley Scott's Alien universe. You play as a member of an organisation that has developed technology which allows them to take control of the nervous systems of the Aliens. This first-person horror game is played with a VR headset, and the player will learn in the early parts of the game how to switch between remotely controlling the subdued Aliens and navigating the world themselves. After the introduction of that mechanic is complete, the horror game will begin properly with the inevitable containment breach of the Aliens. The player will have to survive by controlling themselves and the Alien drones in tandem, hiding in the safest locations they can find while using their drones to explore the nearby area and perform tasks. Unfortunately, the player can only control one Alien at a time, and any that are uncontrolled will be hunting for them and other nearby humans. Also, the remote control device has a limited range, requiring the player to be nearby to achieve their goals. The overarching objective of the player is to find a way to destroy the facility and escape, and while many of the manual tasks can be completed with controlled Aliens, using computers and other technical processes will require the player to operate devices themselves, while hiding from the creatures they rely on.

A two-player car racing simulator, using Google Map's Streetview to load a 'real-life' track.

The goal is to race and win against your friend around an unfamiliar location. It tests your skills in racing, as well as your navigation ability while driving.

GMap Racer uses a familiar racing simulator as a means of building empathy - potentially exposing player's perspectives to unfamiliar territory in another part of the world.

You and your friend are randomly placed in a street location around the world (provided that it is publicly available on Google Maps). Two generic cars - red for you/blue the your friend, are then superimposed on top of the Streetview of your starting location, where you are then given a destination on a map, displayed in the top-left corner in a bird's eye view. The destination would be a randomised point 10km from the starting point. In traditional racing game fashion, you are given a countdown, which then marks the beginning of the race.

The cars you use will obey all the real-world physics of a factory-line Japanese imported car, and limited physics between the two cars (such as bumping into, cutting each other off) are accommodated for.

The rule is that cars can only travel in paths that Streetview allows - i.e. you can use any mapped road/pathway, and dead-ends naturally mean you have to turn around. The map uses Google Map's 'Plan Your Trip' application, which updates your location in real-time, and plots the shortest route to the destination, but since it is only the destination that is predetermined, it is up to you find the best route (Google Map's can sometimes can be incorrect in plotting the shortest route).

Platform: PC/Mac
Controls: QWERTY Keyboard:
- Arrow keys left/right for direction
- Spacebar + arrow keys up/down to accelerate/reverse respectively.

Hardcore Parkour

An augmented reality game using a smartphone - camera and GPS required.

Hardcore Parkour is a game that brings gaming and physical activity together in a way that no one in the entire world has ever seen before. No, not even on July 6, 2016.

Hardcore Parkour uses your phone and GPS to draw a line ahead of you (viewable through your camera in a completely new and original feature) with a flagged goal at the end. Depending on where the user sets up the challenge, the game could go from laughably easy (across a field) to challenging (straight across a playground - no shortcuts) to insane (actual parkour). Your gps will track how accurately you followed the line (did you dodge around things/take shortcuts) and will also time you. You can join in with your mates online to access the same track and then race across the same distance, timing yourselves against each other.

If you want to compete with more than your mates, established tracks (sort of like those, stop thingies from that game that for some reason I can't remember the name of) are set up around cities in order for you to sign in and compete against the rest of the city in an online leaderboard. These tracks are set so people can be sure that they're doing the same thing without treats.

Turn the concrete jungle into a parkour playground!

Vr Game

Shadow stepping is a game based around hopping from shadow to shadow in hopes to progress somewhere, the idea itself comes from an old animated movie called Vampire Hunter D where a character is able to move through the shadows of the world around him and jump from shadow to shadow.

The way this would work in Vitual reality would be at anypoint you will only be a head space out of a shadow have a first person perspective looking at the shadows around you and then proceeding to use a controller to confirm the jumps, the aim would be really to get from point A to point B this could be timed or just a challenge.

To give an example one level could be based on a busy city street and you have to navigate from one end of the street to the other using the shadows of people passing by. This game would have a ranking system and you could set times to challlenge other players from around the world and the levels would be set in a variety of enviroments.

Lightless Realm is a horror MMORPG where death in the game means starting from scratch. In Lightless Realm, there are the ghost, phantom and other bodiless beings lurking in the shadows. Most of the game regions are divided into "Lightless Realm" and "Inhabitable Areas". The player is generally safe in town unless during the night where they are recommended not to go outside. If they truly need to go outside their house, the player will need to equip gears that provide decent lighting.

These ghostly beings will not attack nor physically harm the player. However, some do follow the player around. The player is able to encounter these ghostly beings pretty much anywhere and anytime; even inside the town and their own house. It is recommended to stay away from shadowy/lightless places as these ghostly beings often appear there. If the player stays too long inside the Lightless Realm, their Psych will gradually decrease. The character only has two Stats. The Psych and the Health Point. If the player's Psych falls below zero, they will start losing HP per second. The Psych can fall below zero; the amount of HP loss per second is based on the player's negative Psych.

When the player enters a Lightless Realm, few things will happen. First, they will hear creepy music playing and song been sing. As the player ventures deeper or staying longer in the realm, they will start hearing footstep following them. Secondly, ghostly beings may or may not appear. If they do, they will sometimes pop up in front of the player's face and fly around. Lastly, if the player manages to get out of the Lightless Realm safely, the creepy sound doesn't end there. The player is still able to hear the sound for a while as if it calling them back. The player's Psych will continue to be drained until the sound dies out.

If the player dies in the Lightless Realm, their body and soul will stay there. The player can come back to see their own corpse. The only way to player-kill in this game is stuck someone or prevent them from going out of the Lightless Realm. As attacking players in town will only knock them out. Someone definitely rage quit.

This game is set in a world where ghost infestations have suddenly become rampant, it has been so common that ghosts aren't scary anymore, but an annoyance. So much so that you have created a very profitable business in the ghost control market, being paid to eradicate ghosts .

The game is built around different levels, in which you are called into different houses, all with different ghost problems. The goal of each level is to find the ghost, figure out the problem causing their haunting, and solve it, eradicating the house's ghost problem. When you arrive to the house, the homeowner will give you a few symptoms that they're having, eg. nausea as they enter a room, objects moving, lights turning on .etc. With this information, you can consult your standardised ghost identifier book, reading through different pages to check which ones match. You then follow the steps in the manual to confirm what type of ghost it is, as if you try and fix the wrong ghost problem, you can make the situation even worse, invoking the current one more.

The game will be in first person, and have a fairly cartoony style, as to not make the game that scary, but turn the idea into more of a comedic experience, to give off the feeling that people aren't scared of ghosts in this world.

You drive a taxi in a sci fi future, everyone lives vertically now as there is not enough space for everyone to live on the ground and enormous structures have been built to support the large population, you drive from different heights at different towers to pick up and drop off people for their various errands, while avoiding the hazardous traffic that is now standard. Taxi services are expecially sought after, shuttles are fine but slow, and only the best learn to drive taxis and are able to weave through without problem. You pick up different clients who want to go to different places at different paces, some want to enjoy a thrill ride as they go, maybe they dont often get the chance to taxi, or some just want a pleasant ride without hiccups, which is hard in the mayhem. single player game or could have fun with a multiplayer scenario trying to get in each others way or racing for fares

Crazy for Coconuts is a 2D game that tests the player's ability to well…catch coconuts. It's simple, the coconuts will fall from the tree and all you have to do is catch them. The catch is that when you start the game, the only thing you can use to catch the coconuts is a bowl (yes a small bowl) therefore restricting you of catching as many as you can. You must catch as many as you can fit in your "coco-carrier" (whether it be a bowl, for starters, or the coco-sack for higher levels), once your coco-carrier is full you must tap on the truck to empty the coconuts there and leave your coco-carrier empty for you to catch more coconuts. In each round you will be given a set time to catch and store as many coconuts as you can, as you complete rounds and progress through the game, the time given in each round will slowly decrease. With the completion of a round you will have the task of opening the coconuts to retrieve the coconut water contained inside. This is done by tapping on the coconut rapidly to crack it. The amount of coconut water retrieved from all the coconuts caught from the initial catch will determine how much coco-cash you will receive. This coco-cash can be used to upgrade your coco-carrier (higher level coco-carriers can carry more coconuts), or to increase the player's speed (moving around to catch coconuts/ running to truck to store the coconuts that you've caught).

Procrastination

Your finals are coming up, you need to get groceries, the house is in desperate need of a tidy, and you've been wearing the same socks for four days. Time for you to knuckle down and get some stuff done.

“Not on my watch!" exclaims Netflix

Procrastination is a level based top down game where you must delay your assignments and exams as much as possible, ensuring to only barely pass.

Gameplay.

In Procrastination, the player will have to navigate their house and find ways to procrastinate in order to delay their projects and satisfy their evil/lazy alter ego. These can include things such as: Television, YouTube, Netflix, Playing with animals, vacuuming the curtains, and many other mindless timer wasting tasks.

As the player successfully procrastinates, they will build their time wasting meter. The player's goal is to have their procrastination meter as high as possible before the predetermined time limit runs out.

After completing a time wasting activity, the activity will become unavailable. This will mean that the player must become creative with how they approach their procrastination.

As the game progresses, the levels will become increasingly difficult. The difficulty will arise through how abstract the procrastination methods become. E.g. In level 1, the player will have access to video games, and a TV. And in level 9, the player won't have these resources but rather a plethora of napkins and a cup of mustard. This will mean that the player will have to become more creative with their approach to procrastination.

At the end of each stage, the player will be graded on their efforts and score. This will range from D- to S+

Platforms:

PC, Mobile, Console.

Target Audience:

Students and lazy folk alike. Procrastination is a very relatable game which can, ironically become a form of procrastination in itself.

Speed is Key is played using the HTC Vive, using the controllers to pick up and scan items, and use the cash register etc.In the game you play as a checkout clerk in the most well known supermarket for quick service. Instead of being paid by the hour you are given a percentage of each item you sell to the customer. The aim of the game is to earn as much cash as possible. To do so the player must scan every item from the customer as fast as possible, to then move on to the next customer. The more customers served by the end of the day will increase the chances of getting more money. However if the player rushes to much and misses an item's barcode, the player will not be able to rescan the product and will have to give the customer the item for free. The items wholesale price will then be deducted from your pay, resulting in getting less money at the end of the day. The game will consist of scanning items with a handheld scanner, placing items into bags, receiving the payment from the customer and using the cash register if the customer pays with cash.

In this Virtual Reality experience, you will start on a platform which is connected to a tightrope, and your task, is pretty obvious. It is to get from one side to another while balancing on a tightrope. You will have to walk in a straight line as much as you can, and falling slightly off balance will send you plummeting to your death. There will be a wind factor to account for, which will virtually affect you if in the menu, you say you are indoors, or if you say you are outside, then there will be something which will affect the player realistically to the wind conditions outside. If you are too slow, then someone behind you will catch up to you and push you off the tightrope, But you are secured to a Bungy cord, to make the experience even more crazy. There may also be things such as kites flying and birds swooping around you to make you lose concentration.

One Game a Day #21.pdf187kb

Fantastic beasts and were to find them is a game all about adventuring into the grand wild in a 2d top down game with the intent to catalogue various beasts and monsters and their habits to sell to adventurers. To begin with you will be in simple environments watching quite harmless animals and adventurers who make a habit of slaying them. the game is fairly basic in appearance and quite cartoony with its art style and animations. You will go around your open world environment from your home/shop to catalogue monsters. when you see one you can make a sketch entry and name the creature whatever you want. after that you get to watch it and see what it does, its moves, habits, weaknesses and how to tame it possibly. ok well maybe its favorite food might do for now its hard to find that kind of thing out when all you have is a sketch pad and paper. As you find out more about a monster you can use your in game trusty notepad to write down (type up) anything you need to remember because when your done for the day, that is you've run out of general supply's like food, you can go back home to resupply and write up and sell your guide for the region. you will get a list of things to add for each little thing about your monster. its name, its ability's ect... all from a list of facts in a template like fashion; add fact, i chose weakness, it is weak to ____, i chose fire, now it says it is weak to fire. whether this is true or not will affect the quality of your book and how much you can sell it for. it also may affect the survivability of adventurers who buy it. later on you can get supply storage, general know how of survival in the wilderness, travel to other regions and hire/tag along with heroes to make your notes about various monsters in the more harsh lands were your notes will be more handy. whether your cataloging cattle and sheep or werewolves and dragons, you will become a world renown bestiary guide! *Post note please refrain from writing false facts, NPCs will try to use them to on foes and might probably get themselves killed.* also be aware that without the adventurers towns and the like may start falling to ruin and turmoil later on so try to get your facts right.

This is the general art and lay out of the world i was thinking of. although the inspiration for this game design did not come from Crashlands crash lands did help influence what i was looking for in a general lay out and art style for the game. the actual inspiration came from a book i have been reading called Fantasmagoria, written by Julia Bruce. besides, who doesn't want to learn more about monsters than just how to kill them.

Do you hate cockroaches? What about genetically perfect cockroaches? Well then this is probably not the game for you. In this game, the player is playing the part of God, killing off the imperfect cockroaches. The player must kill off the cockroaches that are holding the species back. Beware though, some genes you will want to keep an eye on. If a cockroach grows too big, then you will be unable to kill it. This will mean that whatever genes that the particular cockroach has will be carried on, possibly leading your perfect cockroach race to destruction. Within the game, cockroaches will be seen scuttling across the screen, with their details visible to the player. The player must choose whether to step on it or not. If not, then the cockroach will be allowed to breed and the genes will be carried on. The game will feature rare mutations which can either speed up the perfection progress, or slow it down.

You play as a treasure hunter on a 2D side scrolling map, you can dig under the ground or dig up through mountains. The aim of the game is to find as much treasure as you can. Beating your opponents score. You can verse a friend or play against the computer. You have little shovels and pick axes to dig through the earth. Shovels are slower but you can bop your opponent on the head to slow them down, they will be so confused they won't be able to move for a few seconds. The pick ax is faster to dig with but if you come across an enemy player and use the pick ax on them you will kill them instead of just bopping them on the head! Killing your opponent is considered bad and you will lose the round instantly. Open up treasure chests to find helmets to shield you from a shovel hit (you won't be saved against a pick ax hit). Or even some power ups to give you a burst of speed, or strength to dig even faster.

this is a small high score chasing game like a couple of my previous games. the premise is simple, you have to dodge incoming schpiders they swing down from the roof like schpider-man at different speeds and different length of web and they also have different weights depending on size/color. all you have to do is slice your finger through the web in order to make the swinging schpiders fall BUT depending on their speed/web-length/weight you have to calculate their trajectory to land behind you (if they're facing left) or in front of you (if theyre facing right) because when they land on the ground they will start crawling in the direction that they land facing, they also have some trick spiders that you have to learn through trial and error that are patterned differently to change direction mid swing. failing to cut the webs and letting the schpiders swing a full rotation the spiders will drop and run directly to you regardless of what way they're facing.

2D aerial platformer

You must help plucky testdroid number 3 navigate a deadly series of chambers, flinging him around obstacles with the miraculous gravity point technology.

Players must navigate a series of levels filled with various deadly obstacles using the main movement mechanic, gravity. Clicking and holding with the mouse button on any point on the screen creates a point of gravitational attraction which sucks the player towards it. The point can be dragged around the screen and only lasts as long as the mouse button is held down. Once it is released a new point can be created.

Using this method the character can be propelled in careful arcs around the level.

Each level consists of one room with a visible exit. The player's goal is to reach the exit. Every time they collide with a deadly obstacle the level resets and they must try again (some more difficult levels will have checkpoints).

The obstacles include; spinning saws which will either be stationary or move back and forth along set paths and spikes which line walls, floors and ceilings. Some exits will also be gated, requiring the player to fully explore the level and perform difficult maneuvers in order to pick up keys.
