ive realised that a physics platformer can be very, very boring. i wont be working on it anymore, sorry.
gonna add some spikes, at this point i can start getting the menu ready, some basic ui and levels
couple of bigs to fix tho, no biggie
added a bouncing gel, the player bounces on it so does the box
pretty obvious :D

Boring to work on or boring to play? With gamedev, no matter the project, there are always points where either the game you are working on suddenly seems stupid (I went through a day like this recently on Sat like I posted in my thread); or just the process feels really dull. Sometimes you just have to weather the rough patch to see what is on the other side. At other times, it's just not the right project for you or for that time.
