I like these shots that reach into the past to access a very specific feeling or vibe to bring it closer to the present day - even if the composition is rather straightforward.

A cloudy day at a small city airport - it necessitated a 400 ISO film stock. 35MM, shot through a vintage Nikon telephoto, of a timeless airplane. I can imagine this photo easily being taken in the 1970s or 1980s, standing in the same spot, on the same film stock, through the same lens on the same type of cloudy day. For a moment, I can imagine how it felt to stand there on a day like that.
