Slow building pumping House / techno. WIP. Comments welcome please!
A Christmas noodle on the Op-1 Field. I'm still getting used to the field but am starting to enjoy the places it can take me. It's rough and ready and I like it, warts and all.
Very rough and ready track entirely on the OP-1 Field. Not much time this week but need to keep the streak alive.
Slow, dub techno jam on the Push 3. A bit of a departure but why not?
Exploring a similar vibe on the Maschine Plus this time. Got a little breakout and a hint of 303-esq going through it. Love using the Maschine (the workflow is way better than the Push).
A bit deeper. Trying to get used to the Push 3. It has so much potential but, I hate to admit it, I hate the workflow. More practice required.
More in a similar vein. Nothing special but need to keep the streak alive. Must try harder.
A very quick jam I knocked up a while ago that seemed ok at the time.
Glitch, experimental, tubby and dark
Had a lot of fun with the Octatrack and Digitakt combo. Let me know what you think.
Moody, simple and not over thought. For once!
Deephouse groove. Needs mixing and a better arrangement. Comments most welcome.
After a long hiatus, here's a quick and dirty slice of dubbed-out acidic house techno.
I needed to upload something as it's been too long. Let me know what you think.

Mellow, chugging lo-fi house groove. Experimenting with melodies and counterpoint. I think it's ok. Comments welcome.
WIP. Deep, dark and dirty. Low-fi chugging house with a retro vibe. Comments always welcome!
Glitchy, groovy and a week late. Comments welcome.
Early 90's Deep house lo-fi sample house. Comments welcome!

Thanks for all your comments guys. I really appreciate the detail Rain 25 - I found that really helpful . Onwards and upwards!
Mmmm, very smooth.
also im not part of this streak and dont write songs. mostly just wanted to comment to advertise the input system i worked on/working on in case anyone was interested. my most recent post on other streaks. idk its a lot of crap to read but the option is there
trash personal opinions: (i dont listen to house/techno neither)
hihat and open hat were a bit loud. could maybe have faded them in gradually over a few bars as well? at 2 minutes in and i feel like there could have been more of a bass groove going on by now? but i dont listen to this type of music so idk if bass grooves are a part of this genre. i like the atmospheres of the track. i like the plucky bass at 2:30. i like the percussion patterns at 3:00 all going on. like the higher pitched pluck coming in at 3:10... i like the noise sweeps creating atmosphere throughout the track. some cool ones that remind me of thunder claps at 3:30. feel like maybe 3:40 could have had some keyboard or something come in.... or some synth that rises up. in combination with the cool percussion at 4:00.... i like the general vibe at 4:00... cool bell part that comes in at 4:30.... now im up to 5:00... still like the track going... like the percussion still. maybe 5:00 to 5:30 could use some sweeps down? like noise sweeps going down... declimaxing into the sparse part at 5:40?
ok well this was just my impressions. overall id say i liked it... idk if i can give any good advice... looks hard trying to make tracks this minimal. probably just go with your gut on when to do stuff. i mean my advice is mostly just add more keyboard layers or something caus the percussion was all really flowy and cool.... but i dont listen to this genre so idk. maybe the sound design on some of the earlier synths in the first half of the track could be improved, and then itd still be minimal. like putting velocity or automation on the synths so they open up in some way, or the velocity hits or midi tracking so each different pitch has a different character. alright this is pretty long word salad so there you go. i wouldnt follow any of this advice, i dont listen to house/techno at all.
yea maybe more prominent noise sweeps going down especially. haha im just giving you advice for how to make it less minimal though. oh there were noise sweeps going down. yea i dont really know. maybe i think longer noise sweeps, like the ones you use are really short, maybe for this track i felt like reaaaaly long 16 bar or more noise sweeps would have been alright. dont really know. i really liked a lot of the percussion and percussion patterns. nice samples/instruments youre using as well
nah the noise sweeps were good though nice atmosphere. maybe the synths is the part i think could be improved more. or more automation or something. idk im not really that good of a producer so trying to gived detailed advice is not rlly somehting i do. idk if u rlly need much advice. the track sounded overall pretty good. the only technical thing i can say is the hihat and open hat in the intro were, i think, bit too loud. but apart from that u made a track that works so idk what the point of overanalysing like this is.
hmmmmm maybbbbe... caus i like 4:30.... but maybe you should have put more of the cool shit from ~4:30 into the intro.... caus the intro isnt really carrying anything close to that central idea at 4:30. maybe. alright im sick of trying to analyse this track. this is probably just thoughts that are more about tracks that i make as well. like its just thoughts about how i would change the track so kind of pointless really. especially since i dont listen to the genre. every time i try and write feedback i find it completely pointless so yeaaaaa. i guess technical stuff like 'hihat bit too loud' and vague things like 'atmosphere sounds nice' would have been a better comment. caus all these feedback are just what id do to morph it into more like something that id make.... so pretty pointless feedback. its pretty much the only way to give detailed feedback though. like i cant give advice on what you should do the track. so many ways to make electronic music etc. spent half this comment complaining about the pointlessness of feedback while feedbacking hmmmmmmmmmmm
