finally got around to some real understanding of solidjs concepts and commit some new code to the web app. i think practice is going to be the best way for me to really start to gain proficiency with the framework, as a fair bit of the language is lost on me, but i'm finding solutions to problems that i'll definitely be able to improve later on down the line.
