i started a blank luxe project. i feel a little aimless, but today was also kind of disorienting. i think i'm just going to try to make a funny platformer that works without being complicated. then i can start to get clever about it in later iterations.\

after wrapping up work today i restarted my work laptop and, after the Windows half of the dual-boot has already been corrupted for a few months, the Linux half also refuses to start. my bet is that the SSD, which is a little over 5 years old, has started to die. so now i have a lot of weird decisions that i've been on the brink of making, and this incident might finally push a lot of those over. i need to buy a bunch of things i've been neglecting to buy, including a new laptop and probably a new phone. i did a random amount of shopping today and all i've managed to do is remind myself how much looking for modern electronics sucks.
