Hello!
It's been a little while since last time, but I come with great news!
After a discussion with my girlfriend, we agreed the 1-bit graphics were a bit unappealing/uninteresting, so I decided to pull up the planet code I've been carting between projects since working on "The Kessler Effect" from AGBIC last year.
I did a substantial amount of cleanup on my own code and also added a new variant that lets me control some specifics of planets (I can now specify planet size, biome, and seed)

I also fixed the long standing bug of planets disappearing when you resize/minimize the game window by simply re-generating the whole planet using the new seed system every time a player resizes/minimizes the game.

Pictured in the screenshot is a fairly huge planet with a little moon orbiting it in the distance to the right.

I still need to redo all my 1-bit art assets & make the whole game but I feel like i'm making good progress now!

Hi!

Today I started working on more engine stuff, but I also started with some implimentation!
Gravity scripts are imported, and things can now sit on the surface of planets!

I also added some sauce to the menu, but only a little.

Ok so progress report time:

Today I finished my concept art for a 1-bit space RTS thing,

I'm really not sure If I wanna make this right now or... what I really want to do! But I know I want to do something.
I've decided to work on the new version of my template project for gamemaker studio 2.3
Today I got a bunch of stuff cleaned up/or working, namely the main menu. It's pretty primitive in scope right now, and desperately in need of polish, but it is functional!

no shiney gifs, but progress is progress

Hi everyone, Avis here.
Recently I decided to re-make an old project of mine called GravArk using the codebase i made for a different (now abandoned) project called Kessler Effect.

Today I took some time to work on cleaning up/commenting old kessler effect code for use in this project. I also set up an itch page and wrote up this dev-vlog and posted it to various places.
No juicy gifs yet, but they will come!
