Heather and heaven
unknown beauty that she will never see
skiing, both hands to the pump
cousins like you and me
and daddy says if there was a wart there,
that is where that wart was meant to be
daddy's good for you
heather feels old
spitefully joyous in all the ways it goes
cousins like you and me
closer than she could ever seem
and daddy says if there was a wart there,
that is where that wart was meant to be
daddy's good for you
Heather and heaven
They've got a lot of nerve to be seen up in the gallery, Ron, right now I tell ya
that horse is sick and starving and encumbered, mon
what if we get a gun, what if we get a gun?
what if we spray the bastards and make off with the rubbery girl?
That painted fella who's bucket was brimming with the piss of a cow
next minute, confetti was all that came raining down
what sort of warlock would dress as if he's mocking the kids?
lets pin that fucker down and slice off his painted eyelids
and show him what we have seen
and show him all the things
show you, show you
then you will have seen it too
The greater show
all shows that came before
weren't fit to feature low on the billing of the show that he saw
let's sing and clap, my friend
let's dance around
lean back and drink your fill
because we're cranking up the merry go round
boo-hoo hoop dee doo
*Sorry, this is awful. I was watching the on cinema oscar special and realised there were a couple of hours left and figured I could probably shit something out.
I shat something out.
I tried to save it at a low bitrate to make it sound more old fashioned but it probably just made it sound shittier.
Good luck!*
Ooh, I wanna be so round for 'ou
with your cricket glove fingers in ma mooth
there is value in digging in the pyre and feeling where you never have been
the christ shot up and mentioned you
take me down to brown town
and delay me out
ooh, I wanted to get this stain and explore for all of the ways
ooh, I wanted to get this way for you, my baby
Ooh, I wanna be so around for you, hun
I wear my creepy glove, finger in the mootha
I wanna, wanna be so around for you, my babe
with the finger glove, cricket in the mootha
wet witches watch and wait by the lever
loves closing down
burn, baby, burn
Bin bag,
what you gotta say for all the horses?
what you gotta say for us?
All those poor horsies
never to return
They're crying in their sleep
You've hurt them
They're crying in the street
You bastard
night mare
a witch upon her back will gallop sprouting weeds where
her hoofs churn up the mind o' ye
tangling the mind o' ye
never to return
you'll be crying in your sleep
you'll be crying in the street
you bastard
"Why did you kill the horses?"
"You're a monster"
"stay away from him child. He's a horse killer"

@Arcana Thanks man, that really means a lot. I keep having a crisis of confidence and deleting my submissions but your comment has made me feel really good.
Not to blow my own trumpet, but I think I'm quite good at writing prose/comedy and drawing, but I've always been drawn to music in my spare time because I love it so much, and I think, because I'm so bad at it, it's such a huge challenge, I find it a really fulfilling creative outlet because it's all so alien to me and I'm always so surprised when I somehow make something that I quite like.
I didn't feel like I was being myself, felt like I was being a bit arch and ironic, though that's probably my default setting and I'll probably end up there again eventually, it still felt like I was forcing something, performing and putting on a persona, so I got rid of the old ones (apart from the horsey one, I liked that) and did something a bit more stripped back and honest.
Not finding much time to make music at the minute so my submissions might be a bit erratic, and I'm trying not to let the weekly deadline stress me out too much, but hopefully I won't keep deleting my posts and make something better!
Thanks, man!
This is an awesome and tasteful use of reverb on the vocals. Totally psychedelic. The best thing is that lyrical performance like this transcends genres and you could use this kind of stuff for so many things. Looking forward to see how you evolve over the course of the year.
