Cera's Dream is a roleplaying, adventure, puzzle story game with cute characters and vibrant colours. Every night Cera has the same dream. She finds herself awake in a forest. No matter how much she has walked around to find the end of the forest, she can never find it. Some mornings when she wakes up, she finds her parents shaking her awake, and even sometimes weeping for their daughter to wake up. That is when Cera discovered that she is trapped in her dream every night until she finishes the 'level'.

At the beginning of every level, you are given the task to save a certain animal/creature from the evil that dwells within the forest and you MUST complete it. There is no timer but the longer you take, the more 'trapped' you are in your dream - meaning you will never wake up again.

The game is designed to immerse the player in the game through character design and visuals. There will be combat in the game but will not revolve around it and should not be played for the combat experience. Explore the forest with your rescued creatures and encounter monsters too.

A mechanic in the combat side of things, will be that it is not you that is attacking. The monsters will try to attack you, but the creatures you rescued will be the ones protecting you. You will decide their actions, however, if they become wounded, you will have 3 nights to find the right herbs and ingredients to heal it.
You can only have a 3 or 5 creatures on the field at once (depending on difficulty of battle). Any creature that is fatally wounded during battle can be replaced by another immediately.

Torcher is a psychopathic serial killer who roams the streets of Pensenburg (large town, not modern) every night from 1am til sunrise. No one has any idea who this man or woman is. Some citizens have notified the town police officers about what they know about the Torcher.

You play as a new police officer apprentice, Kerrin, who is 17 years old and works alongside his senior, Mangor, a 47 year old officer. You have taken the role of keeping the streets safe at night.

What you know about the Torcher:
-he/she/thing carries a dimly lit lantern
-disappears into thin air randomly (most citizens don't believe this until they see)
-no real evidence if Torcher is the cause of the disappearances of citizens, only assumptions

Help citizens return home if they are still outside past 1am.
You will sometimes encounter kids who wander outside at night for the thrill and will refuse to return home. Try your hardest to convince them to go home.
Acquire real evidence that the Torcher is the serial killer/kidnapper, or not the serial killer/kidnapper depending on whose side you take.

The World of Guilipe is an open world game themed as anime. You play as either Cam (male) or Athene (female), and their role is to conquer all the towers. These 'towers' have randomly spawned on Earth and no one has any idea. Anyone who goes in, cannot come out unless they complete the tower. Rumors have spread worldwide that many brave adventurers never came back out, only a few were able to complete them but they vowed to themselves never to go back in. They say that the towers are insanely tall and thin that you can easily jump from one wall to the other side, and there are no stairs or ladders to climb down, you have to strategically jump across platforms on the walls and floating platforms to get down. You will encounter evil spirits that will try to kill you, so make sure to carry your favourite weapon

As you enter the game, depending on which character you chose to play, you will play your very first dungeon. (tutorial). To start a tower, you have to get to the top where the entrance is. Once entered, you cannot leave until you finish.

When you finish towers, you are rewarded enormous amounts of treasure that could leave you settled for life in luxury, but what people don't know is that the 'treasure' are baits to stop successful adventurers from completing more. Why? Because these towers are source of negative energy that slowly devours human minds. That's where Athene and Cam come in. They are rivals in combat and don't care about gold. They want to compete against each other in how many towers they can complete before they're all gone.

Complete towers to purchase weapons/armoror craft your own. Crafting materials can be bought or found by traveling/exploring the world.

As the game progresses, towers will become much harder as the negative energy is becoming stronger too.

That's my soul is a 2D arcade type game with several modes you can choose from.

The first game is a drag and drop game where you must correctly drag the souls into their correct bodies. The goal of this mode is to drag the most amount of souls into the correct body before the time runs out. There will be boosts that give you double the score and extra time.

The second game you must drag the souls to their DESIRED body. They will give you their preferences and you must drag and drop their soul into the desired body. Score is appointed according to how many 'preferences' you were able to match. Once again, there is no 'win' for this mode. You can however lose when too many souls are unhappy about your service.

The third game, souls are dropping from the sky to the human world. Some souls are nice, but others are evil. You must shoot and destroy the souls that want to harm humans. Some of these 'evil souls' are devils, and more points are given when devils are killed. You lose when an evil soul takes over a human body.

Backstory: Farmer Larry is your ordinary bloke - a nice chap that you might come across when you run out of gas and need a place to stay in the middle of no where. He runs a farm alone with several farm animals of each kind, and a large plot of land for vegetables, lives with his wife, Perry, and cooks their own produce. They haven't visited cities or towns for a long time because they felt no need to do so when everything they need is already with them.

You play as Garry, who is traveling with his family to Mountainside Lake for a family holiday. You have been driving for so long that the sun has already began to set. You decide to find the closest house and ask to stay. Of course, this being Farmer Larry's house. Larry happily welcomed your family to stay for the night but something seemed off to you. When everyone is asleep, you sneak around to discover something you wish you never knew.

Farmer Larry is a linear story game that does not play off your choices, nor will you be given dialogue or action choices. The goal is to survive the night and get away from the Larry, because you definitely won't be alive to see the next morning if you stayed in your room.

Jibobi are little critters that lives off of peoples emotions. They enjoy sadness and anger the most, meanwhile happiness is their least favourite. In the worst cases, victims lose their ability to feel and sympathize with one another causing chaos among friends, families and colleagues.

You play as Jiji, a Jibobi. As you explore, you can also watch the unique life of every character in the game. Simply follow them around, or go to their house and watch them. You can only eat their emotions when they are vulnerable to attacks, however, the choice is ultimately yours whether you want to eat emotions or not. Emotions are like food to Jibobis, so not eating them is out of the question.

This game is meant to give you an emotional experience because every characters life is designed to be unique. As you watch and listen to their life, will you cruelly take away their ability to feel or sympathize with them and leave them alone? The latter option will mean you will have to move onto another character anyway until you begin to starve. There is bound to be story that everyone can relate to.

Pupper Master is an arena fighting game using puppets.

Puppets are controlled using strings that are attached to each limb and each string corresponds to a key on the keyboard or controller. Moving forwards and backwards will be the traditional left and right arrows keys or buttons. This makes for a lack-of-control gameplay similar to QWOP. Having little control over your puppets movements will result in hilarious gameplay.

There will be a minimal amount of special moves and/or combos so the player does not feel the need to try pull them off as I'm expecting them to be hard to pull off in the first place.

There will also be different puppets to choose from that will not affect or change the gameplay. Different puppets are for aesthetics only and are customizable by purchasing them with in game currency or real life money.

Restaurant Crush (very original title, I know ty) is a combination of puzzle games, like Bejeweled and Candy Crush, mixed with management games like Restaurant City (no longer exists)

It's basically the same as Restaurant City but with the addition of a puzzle game. Manage your restaurant, discover new recipes, decorate your restaurant's interior and exterior, compete against other restaurant owners etc.

Recipes are unlocked based on restaurant level and ingredients. You can also level up recipes so you can charge more when customers order it. You can close the app or game and still earn gold, however the fastest way to earn gold is to also play the puzzle game. When completing a puzzle level, you will gain a random ingredient based on the level. The more difficult the level, the higher chance of a rare ingredient. You can trade ingredients with friends and gift them daily ingredients (not rare).

You can also purchase gold in game with real money, for those that are impatient, and platinum, the rare in game currency that cannot be earned unless you buy it with real money or watch an ad (optional).

You can buy items that can only be purchased with platinum. Some of these items have benefits for your restaurant.

Drift Wood is a graphically intense horror game with a deep story and too much gore.

The story/game begins with several couples who have won a honeymoon trip to a remote island owned by the Fient family who also owns Fient Corps; a booming company that is predicted to control more than 50% of the economy within a year. The island was freshly renovated as a private holiday island getaway who are willing to pay thousands of dollars to visit and the only exception was now, where they are giving away 6 'couple' tickets.

1 certain couple found it suspicious that the island (where it was supposedly promoted) was not found on the maps or google maps for that matter. The wife is a journalist and wanted to write a paper on it while she's there even though the terms and conditions for visiting is not to tell anyone a single soul about it.

The scene continuous onto the couple meeting up at Fient Corps to take a private plane to said island. Little did they know they were flying straight into the Bermuda Triangle. When someone notices, they alarmed their boyfriend about it and wanted off the plane. They walked over to the front to tell the pilot to fly back but no one was there - the plane was flying automatically. She panic screamed and everyone came over to check it out. A man who is a pilot on holiday break took over but couldn't control the plane - its like it had a mind of its own, crashing into an island.

The passengers got out and read a sign: Welcome to Fient Island!
This is where the game actually begins!

The island honestly looks great - perfect for a getaway. They were scared and didn't know what to do, but someone suggested to enjoy themselves while they wait for someone to rescue them.

The island is riddled with creatures believed to be only myths. Most of the creatures are terrifying, hungry, and dwell when the sun is down; how convenient humans have landed on their island. The couples are in a for a nightmare getaway.

Once they are aware of what's happening, they eventually all agreed to discovering the truth.

Gameplay: You can switch between any character that is currently in the same scene anytime. Every character has their own dialogue and choices that could alter the story line because their intellectual levels etc are different. For example, a situation arises where someone has to suggest something, who do you pick to suggest? The humourous one? The one that analyzes the situation like a real detective? There is no changing your choice so choose and pay attention to characters personality and mood carefully.

Pillow Fight Arcade is like any arena fighting game... with pillows. The game will be formatted exactly like any arcade style fighting game. In the menu, you can choose from:

Story mode: self explanatory
Battle mode: 1 vs 1 best of 3 or 5
Team mode: Kind of like pass the mic in karaoke where if you die, you will pass your controller on to the next player. Or you can play all the matches yourself.
Training mode: Practice combos against a non-combat computer with desired character.

There are plenty of characters to choose from that have different combo sets that every one is bound to enjoy at least one of them. Additionally, each character will have their own sets of pillows which are their weapons, hence 'Pillow Fight', which are unlocked by winning with the specific character more. No pillow is stronger than the other, it is preference and skill that determines how strong the pillow is. These pillows will determine what kind of combo set the character will take on - there are a lot of combo sets!

Imagine Ultimate Ninja Storm but pillow style and less magical stuff.

The game Madman is a game centered around the character Mahn. Several years ago he was admitted into a Psychiatric Hospital for simply speaking out of turn during his trial when he was accused of murdering his family. The real murderer was soon found and also thrown into the same hospital as Mahn 2 years later.

Over the course of Mahn's stay, he started to become crazy. Not wacky crazy, but he would start hallucinating and having visions of his family. In his visions he never got to see the murderers face but he suspects that he was in the same hospital.

You will play as Mahn and gather evidence to discover the true face of the murderer. Every nurse/doctor thinks you are crazy, so you must appear as normal as possible. Sometimes Mahn will see things and people that actually don't exist. However, some of these things could be visions that would guide you to the answer, so be careful when interacting with objects that might seem out of place!

Story: Utopia is a dungeon based MMO with its story centering around creating a new world, the Utopia. Not a new planet or anything, but ridding their current planet of evil. Many years ago, one of many to come Void doors opened, and creatures of the underworld took their first step onto their home. They weren't seeking peace, in fact, they had no real mind of their own. They attacked whoever and whatever that they did not recognize. People were evacuated (think attack on titan). That's when adventurer's were trained to defeat them. Adventurers duties are to gather information from the creatures, protect, and for the veteran, they will enter Void doors.

The game is sci-fi dungeon based, typically exploring new parts of the planet as you level up. You will be able to enter Void doors at max level, where you can find crafting materials for your gear.

A party typically contains 1 primary support, 1 primary tanker, and 3 dps. Unlike many MMO games, Utopia allows players to wield any weapon, and level any stats they want. Healer wants to go physical damage instead of magic? Go for it. Tankers want to go dps? Yup. The name of your class will depend on your stats. For example if you chose Tank and put points into magic, you will become a Guardian.

The combat will require a lot of mobility (high air jumps, double jump, side dodge etc) and skill shots. There is no lock-on targeting.

Sisters Yin and Yang were split during birth to different neighbouring countries. Their birth country was losing the war but in return, if the king and queen sent their unborn daughters to them, they would withdraw their army from their country. And so they were traded for peace. 16 years later, the princesses were trained under the traditions of their country. Yin was taught that strength and aggression meant power and learned special techniques under her master, Chi, while on the other hand, Yang was taught that swiftness and gracefulness lead to unlocking true power. They have never met each other nor knew they had a sister. But one day, their birth country declared war against the countries that took their children. However, Yin and Yang grew up thinking they were raised in the country they are in now, so they head to war. What would happen when they find out about their past?

Good Meets Evil is a very story intense game with a lot of cut scenes and voice overs. Their will be a balance between combat and story though so players won't get frustrated. The combat will be similar to Dynasty Warriors - a lot of enemies.

The game will start off with the player choosing their story line (will eventually link up), Yin or Yang. After choosing, they will play as 12 year old Yin or Yang set pre-war. The first scene will be Yin or Yang beginning their training and here you will be able to try out all sorts of weapons and combinations (they have trained without weapons for 8 years previously, they can now choose a weapon to specialise in). Note that the sisters have different combat techniques and live in different countries, therefore weapons and combinations will be different too. Whatever weapon you choose to specialise in, this is what you will be using during the war. Off hand weapons are changeable.

The game is set in a colorful 3D field full of different kinds of bouncy mushrooms. Mushrooms range from edible to deadly. The goal of the game is to collect points and beat your high score by bouncing on the non-poisonous/deadly mushrooms. Every time you land, the mushroom you landed on will shrivel up and die leaving a hole in the field and a new mushroom will slowly grow to replace it. There are timers on the mushroom, if you don't land on them within a certain amount of time, they will shrivel up and die too.

Buffs and debuffs will appear at random times on mushrooms. Depending on your score, more buffs/debuffs will appear. Occasionally a special effect will appear. Kinda like cart racing games when the players break a box to get a random skill. As your score gets higher, more poisonous mushrooms will appear which means you got to be careful where you land. These special effects can help you. Such as a boost to your jump or a shield that absorbs one poisonous mushroom.

Keyboard Warrior is a music game where you tap in rhythm to the music. It's basically like the tap tap games on mobile except on keyboard and instead of the usual 3 taps, you will be using the letters on the keyboard (not the piano type of keyboard herp-derp). How well you play will depend on how godly you are at typing.

Like OSU, you can download a library of music with pre-made rhythms created by other players, so you can play any song that is available or you can create your own.

There are 5 difficulties to choose from:
Newb mode: 1 row
I-think-Im-good mode: 2 rows
God mode: 3 rows
OH SH*T mode: 4 rows
Get-A-Life mode: 5 rows

Combos will appear in levels I-think-Im-good to Get-A-Life, meaning you will need to press 2 to 5 keys at the same time.

In addition, there will also be character customization. You can own more than 1 character however you must purchase an extra slot. This feature is for aesthetics only and will not directly impact your gameplay. Your selected character will appear during your game and will dance in rhythm to the music. In order to customise, you must unlock or buy items. In-game-money = score.
Things you can buy/customise:
Hair, Skin, Eyes, Eyebrows, Lips, Clothes, Make-up, Color-Palettes, Keyboard, Background, Table,

Maya is an AI that lives within the computer. She was created by a company (x), whose reputation was destroyed by their previous AI, to bring misery among those who dared to mock their name again. They dismantled and reprogrammed to create Maya, an unstoppable AI that dwells within every ones private computer and/or other devices. Everyone knows she exists, everyone knows she's always listening and watching, but no one knows how to stop her. Your job is to stop this 'unstoppable' AI and bring down the company (x) in hopes of ridding of this 'Maya' and bringing back privacy.

You might be thinking, well, why doesn't the government stop it? Because they don't want to. They obviously were bribed by constant information gathered by Maya.

The game is set in a sci-fi environment where anyone who doesn't use technology are considered lower class. As the story progresses, Maya will become more powerful (this is inevitable for plot). Although she is an AI, she has a mind of her own and will not always follow commands.

Why you? Because you're the worlds best hacker.

Mochi, the name of the female protagonist, is a professional assassin. She is a rather popular assassin among those who are wealthy and who would not mind spending a fortune to hire an assassin. Before any action, a contract will be signed where both parties must agree to all terms and conditions. This means when you are on a mission, you must follow all orders you have agreed to in order to complete it. If you fail the mission or mess it up, the mission will automatically fail and will reset you to a checkpoint before or after signing the contract.

The game will also have 24 hour cycles implemented. You can choose your choice of time to prepare and continue your mission whether you want to assassinate during the day, or kill during their sleep is up to you. The disposal of the body does not matter. The only thing that matters is if no evidence was left behind that could potentially lead to you (under no circumstances can the other party speak about you unless they want to die).

Throughout the game, there will also be a very in-depth story surrounding the mysteries of Mochi (how and why she became an assassin).

DatAsh is an Otome game (girl game. reverse harem) where you are attending a party with friends who have invited a bunch of handsome men in hopes that you would find "the one". Of course there are also female who were invited and are ready to steal men from you!

Unlike the typical Otome games where it's mainly story orientated, visual novel-ish, and gives you little room for options except choosing "the one", it will be a 3D based game with several areas you can visit. It is not open world so in order to hop between areas you have to load in between although it'll be pretty awesome if it were open world.

There will be PLENTY of speech options as well as interaction options. Think of it like Sims where they give you a lot of interaction options. Every action will alter your relationship/friendship with whom you meet including the females. Every character in the game will have diverse personalities that you must learn from interacting.

The game (or your account) will never end. If you log off, exit out of the game, or don't sign on for a long time, your friends or your "boyfriend" will miss you and depending on who it is you chose, the character might assume you broke up with them. It will be a very interactive experience and realistic game that will make you feel like the characters are living.

http://www.sakevisual.com/backstagepass/header.jpg

You are a cat living with a human who doesn't give you enough attention. So do what cats do and annoy your human. The amount of points you earn are called Attention Points and depends on how much attention your human gives you. In addition, there will also be Annoying Points and Affection Points. Affection points are gained when your human is feeling lonely or when you're not being annoying in general. The longer you go without being annoying, the more Affection Points you will earn over time. The more affection points, the more the human will pat you, buy you treats, and even gifts such as your own scratch wall, a walking platform traveling across the house mounted on the wall etc. Gaining Affection Points will lower your Annoying Points score. Being annoying means you can accumulate Attention Points faster than when you would have Affection Points.

It's not meow it's yeow is suppose to be a fun game with no real goal except have as much fun messing with your human.

We are all human experiments in this world. A greater force or being are watching all our movements like a "God". Kinda like Sims.

xxOverlordxx is a story based game where you will play as an AI. Humans have successfully created you after numerous attempts to create an artificial 'human' that can surpass the norms of ordinary humans.

As an AI, you have no human mind. These so called Gods cannot tap into your mind and read you so they see you as a threat. No one knew about the Gods until you, the AI, have advanced so much that you felt a strong presence that no one else can feel or see.

You will play as Seta, an advanced AI who can hack into electronics and manipulate wavelengths, to create as much unpredicted chaos as you can around the world to provoke the Gods because it can feel their killing glare. As an AI, you don't have feelings like the humans do. You can pretend to but it will never be genuine. That is why Seta has its mind set on getting the Gods to show themselves so Seta can destroy them.

These 'Gods' use these humans as guinea pigs or a toy. They want to watch how the humans develop their world and destroy it all together. The Gods can tap into human minds but cannot control them in any way. They saw the creation of Artificial Intelligence from miles away but little did they know it will soon become their worst nightmare.

MDS GDV110 - 'One Game a Day' Assignment

Media Design School's GDV110 students come up with a game idea a day.

daily from 2015-07-21 to 2015-09-11
