Graphic Designer, Front End Web Designer, & Illustrator living in Eau Claire Wi.

My design obsessions currently include Hand drawn typography, learning to work with my new set of Prismacolor Markers, and quality of line.

I'm in a long term relationship with my moleskine sketchbooks, Wacom graphire 2 tablet, my USB 2nd monitor setup, and my aging HP laptop.

I believe in work over fame, if you work hard enough, fame is a byproduct. I keep my nose down and my hands active.

I can also absorb caffeine at alarming rates.

I share my work most often on Instagram username - Wabiguan.

Was just kinda doodling, I like to push things around in illustrator, and now I have a decision to make, KISS or add the brush.... Hrmmm.

Votes welcome! I don't make important decisions after 11pm -- Ones that aren't adult beverage related anyway.

Graphic Design class from Junior year - branding and identity project - Fourish Art Supply. Before - Peacock, After - Script & Box. Lots more redesigning to go. Updating the portfolio for some job prospects.

Design project for Rump's Butcher Shoppe - Coffee Packaging

had a friend call me about a job opening, so time to mock up all my "finished" work in a really short amount of time!

I'm back on the horse of course of course! #OldEnough4MrEd, #NickatNite Closing in on the final product here, I've got some detail work on the lettering, but I'd turn this in as in if I needed.

Got all the lettering in, re-drew the bird, added more detail to the pin feathers, and moved "i'm breakin' loose" down in line with the bird cage. Outline ink coming soon, still gotta do some studies for the color before I try it out on this image.

not much progress today, obviously the cat isn't helping. messing with the letterforms which doesn't look like much, but it's about all that's left to be done

song lyrics from Glass animals / Flip.

Using a compass, ruler, and French curve on my 2nd draft of Shake my feathers.

I'm a bit intimidated about gettin the color in the feather right, I think some practice feather studies are warranted

I welcome any critique still at this late hour, but this is 98% the image that will be submitted. Feels good to be out from under it!

Still minor tweaking to do, I haven''t printed it yet afterall. Thanks for looking!

Being unrelenting is sometimes difficult. Buuuut it's not "done" so I gotta' keep working until it is. Hope this is my last pen-to-paper version.

Threw in the 2nd picture - the bears body happened to line up with the wolf ears *fun*!

I've never gotten sick of drawing something before, but this has got to be my 8th wolf-hat!

There are so many versions, I decided I'd Share the evolution. The small sketch was the genesis, followed by the large pencil sketch.

I think (fingers crossed) I can nudge some things around and clean up this collection of images into one polished one. Wish me luck!

song lyrics from "flip" by glass animals

I struggle with centering, so the lettering got a little weird, thus the V1. I'll be making another version.

I like how the top and bottom are turning out

Typographic sketch inspired by Graham Moore's 2015 Oscar Speech.

Part II - A little further along on the outlines

- More detail on the Robot

- Re-did the camera

-Moustache & Mouse

- More Horse-Bike. 'nuff said.

I've done less than a half dozen digital inking, so it's slow and cautious work. Thanks for lookin!'

I can't seem to sew this one up. I've been 90% done for the last month. I'm finding the eyes and the smoke hard to feel satisfied with.

First Post!

Sketch and mid-digital inking of typographic project "Stay Weird." inspired by Graham Moore's 2015 Oscar acceptance speech. Original Sketch also included, since I started that way before I started ssssstreeeeeeaaaakiiiiiiiinngg!
