The game is designed for console or devices with a gyroscope on them and features both single player mode in which you try to set a high score and multiplayer mode where you can go head to head or in teams to get the largest score.

In CollectaBall you start off as a single person with the objective of trying to grab as many other people as you can once you start grabbing enough people you start to form a ball which you can control to roll over more people and increase in size. In the vs mode when you collide with an opposing player the larger human ball will peel some of the people of the smaller ball gaining more of the points available.

The environment in which the ball is rolling will also affect the points that you can score if you are rolling through a river you can lose points as people drown and disconnect from the ball, other lethal environments will have similar affects fire getting hit or hitting solid objects to hard can all lose you points.

It takes both rampaging speed to get all the people and careful skill to avoid danger to win at CollectaBall.
