Animal Wrestler is a fighting game in which you have to capture animals by wrestling them (who needs reasons).

Unlike most fight games the combatants do not start off facing each other as the human (controlled by the player) is not as strong or as armored as the animals the are trying to capture. This means that in most arenas the player needs to sneak up on animal and try to get it in a lock before the animal can bring all its strength to bear or they may try to use their special moves that can fire tranquilizer darts to slow down and lower an animals damage resistance.

As these fights are going to very challenging and losing player interest may become a problem, losing a fight will bring about an animation in which the animal mauls the player in which ever way is appropriate for that animal.
As the player progresses the animals get bigger and more dangerous, though the player unlocks stronger special attacks to use against these tougher animals.
