Overview:
In Panacea you are a doctor and you must fight to cure the entire world of disease and sickness. When you first begin the game, you are a small time scientist and must deal with the problem of getting your work recognised whilst working at a large company; the more successful you are and the more prominent projects you take on, the more recognition you get and thus you can distribute your vaccines further around the world. In addition, as you become more famous, you gain various trials, including human trials, to develop vaccines faster, as well as the ability to create quarantines and hire assistants. If you do not test the vaccines you develop correctly then they can mutate and create diseases and reactions. The difficulty increases as you progress, with you will initially curing smaller more common issues until eventually you are fighting back against world wide plagues and viruses. You must develop and upgrade your medicinal skills via a skill tree, using points gained from curing people, and you can specialise in certain scientific areas. The game ends when you cure the world of all diseases, but you get a game over if too many people become sick and die.
