Shattered memories

Concept Overview:

Explore and attack thugs who are trying to steal from you or murder you. Survive as long as you can. Jump around from one platform to another. Go deep into the forests and build yourself a hut if you have to. Rescue whoever you can and forge alliance with them but beware the scavengers.

Plot:

Astronauts returning to Earth bring back a strange disease. Benjamin Hart was no stranger to spacewalking when he was installing upgrades to the International Space Station. Still, he was not expecting a cooling line to break and spew toxic ammonia all over his suit. Ammonia has a low boiling point, so Ben needed to vaporize it off his suit. His plan was to 'bake' himself in sunlight for few minutes. Later on, his fellow astronaut brushed off the suit and equipment. To be doubly sure, they partially vented the shuttle airlock and wore oxygen masks inside until they were positive nothing had made its way in. However, something did make its way in, a very rare contagious space disease in which the host experience an ever-increasing euphoria, eventually leaving the victim so happy and content that they no longer feel any need to go to work or even eat. Symptoms started to show few weeks after they have landed on Earth. The disease had spread rapidly with only few people surviving.

Setting:

Earth.

Game Mechanics:

In this open-world post-apocalyptic game, your imagination is your limit. The game is played from a third-person view with occasional fixed camera angles. While visibility is low due to the alternating fog and darkness surrounding the whole planet, players first begin with nothing but a lantern and a heartbeat sensor that detects nearby people (or other players if played in multiplayer mode). Players have access to a variety of melee weapons including swords, halberds, clubs, staves and baseball bats (because why not).

Possible Platforms:

PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation.
