This is a variation on the all-time classic board game ported to digital in terrible ways: 3D Chess. Sounds simple enough, however, this spinoff inside a reboot gets a lot more metaphysical: Instead of two dimensional planes of movement, there are now six. Being a wonderful early childhood educational game, the rules are simple. Instead of a flat playing board, figures move in a 3 dimensional checkered 8x8x8 lattice. This 8³ playing matrix is then repeated 8 times in every direction, essentially emulating an additional 3 spatial dimensions.

Note: Alternatively, the 3 extra dimensions can be displayed through brightness, colour and saturation of the playing figures within the 8³ board, eliminating the need for the extra space but making interpretation of the playing field even harder.

Figures can use their normal patterns of movement but are free to apply them in any direction: up, down, left, right, forward, backward and through the axis of any adjacent lattices. Thanks to the extra dimensions, the playing field now supports up to 2048 players, making it wholesome fun for the whole dynasty.

Features:

  • Chaotic 2048 player action
  • Unnecessary Complication
  • 6 axis of movement
  • 3D Chess 6D Tesseract Edition: The Boardgame - Game of the Year Collector's Edition coming soon
