This singleplayer adventure follows a young and confused adolescent teenager named Oliver Sclater. The character is a lean albino male with bad facial hair who works at a supermarket, but one day he seeks new experiences and hitchhikes his way to Wellington. On the ferry over to the south island, Ollie is struck at the sight of a large whale in the ocean and instinctively dives in. It was from that moment Ollies realized his true purpose in life and that he was a destined whale rider. Through knowledge passed down from local tribes, the player develops immense skill in the art of whale riding. The player progresses through the game, continuing to ride more advanced whales of all sizes, dodging sharks and predators as he rides the ocean of new zealand. The game-play is sloppy and hard to control, which adds to the challenge of the game. The game is similar to SSX snowboarding.

Here is an image that i searched hard for that i feel perfectly reflects Ollie's character as I wanted him to have a slightly curious, yet memorable appearance as he rides across New Zealand.
